How do you determine if a charged comb is positively charged or negatively charged. Suppose it is positively charged, it will at

Generally, whenever an object is charged via friction, such as in the case of a comb, it gathers a negative charge because the rubbing brings forth electrons. If the charge is induced using another already charged object, then the charge is positive. If it is positively charged, it will attract the negative charge and cause the leaves to repel.

Dmitry_Shevchenko [17]

Hi!

The correct option would be A) Mendel’s genetics states laws that are now part of the theory of biological evolution.

When Darwin proposed the idea of biological evolution, which revolved around the concept that favorable genes are naturally selected into a species to ensure survival, his theory was criticized as during that time there was the idea that individual traits of two parents would present themselves as a blend in the offspring.

Gregor Mendel's theory of inheritance supported Darwin's idea as it dealt with the transmission of traits in generations through entities called genes, which were present in pairs for a particular trait.

Hope this helps!

Two tuning forks of frequency 480 hz and 484 hz are struck simultaneously. what is the beat frequency resulting from the two sou
umka21 [38]
Ans: Beat frequency = f_b = 4Hz

Explanation:
The beat frequency is equal to the absolute value of the difference in frequency of the two waves. In other words, the number of beats per second is equal to the difference in frequency. It is due to the destructive and constructive interference. According to this interference, sound will be soft or loud.

Hence. the formula is:
Beat frequency = f_b = |f_2 - f_1|

Since,
f_1 = 480Hz
f_2 = 484Hz

Therefore,
Beat frequency = f_b = |484 - 480|

=> Beat frequency = f_b = 4Hz
