The distance is 17 km

The displacement of the boat is about 12 km at 70° S of W

<h3>Further explanation</h3>

Vector is quantity that has magnitude and direction.

One example of a vector is displacement.

Let us now tackle the problem !

\texttt{ }

This problem is about Vector Diagram.

<em>On his fishing trip Justin rides in a boat 12 km south.</em>

d_1 = -12 \widehat{j}

\texttt{ }

<em>The fish aren’t biting so they go 4 km west.</em>

d_2 = -4 \widehat{i}

\texttt{ }

They then follow a school of fish 1 km north.

d_3 = 1 \widehat{j}

\texttt{ }

\texttt{Total Distance} = 12 + 4 + 1 = 17 \texttt{ km}

\texttt{ }

d = d_1 + d_2 + d_3

d = -12 \widehat{j} - 4 \widehat{i} + 1 \widehat{j}

d = -4 \widehat{i} - 11 \widehat{j}

\texttt{Total Displacement} = \sqrt{4^2 + 11^2} = \sqrt{137} \approx 12 \texttt{ km}

\texttt{Direction of Displacement} = \theta = \tan^{-1} \frac{11}{4} \approx 70^o \texttt{ south of west}

In finding the distance that covers we simply add the three km which is
12 + 4 + 1 = 17km

17 km is the distance they cover.

We are going to use the displacement formula which is
d = vt + 1/2 at^2
d = 11.7 km

11.7 is the displacement

Taya2010 [7]

Answer:

Energy of Photon = 4.091 MeV

Explanation:

From the conservation of energy principle, we know that total energy of the system must remain conserved. So, the energy or particles before collision must be equal to the energy of photons after collision.

K.E OF electron + Rest Energy of electron + K.E of positron + Rest Energy of positron = 2(Energy of Photon)

where,

K.E OF electron = 3.58 MeV

Rest Energy of electron = 0.511 MeV

Rest Energy of positron = 0.511 MeV

K.E OF positron = 3.58 MeV

Energy of Photon = ?

Therefore,

3.58 MeV + 0.511 MeV + 3.58 MeV + 0.511 MeV = 2(Energy of Photon)

Energy of Photon = 8.182 MeV/2

<u>Energy of Photon = 4.091 MeV</u>

Electric resistance ____________ with a(n) ____________in the length of a wire and as a result current flow ___________.
maria [59]
The answer is D. Electric resistance increases with an increase in the length of a wire and as a result current flow decreases. There is a direct relationship between the length of the wire and the resistance. The longer the wire, the more resistance there will be. Additionally, from Ohm's Law, current is inversely proportional to resistance. This means as the current increases, resistance decreases or vice versa.
