Answer:

The ratio is 0.667.

Explanation:

We are given two incandescent lights which have ratings of 75 W and 50 W .

Both bulbs operate at the same voltage.

The equation of power consumed is given by P = \frac{V^2}{R}

Therefore the resistance for the 75 W bulb  = \frac{V^2}{75}

Therefore the resistance for the 50 W bulb  = \frac{V^2}{50}

Therefore the ratio of the resistance for the 75 W bulb to the resistance of the 50 W bulb is equal to

=  \frac{\frac{V^2}{75} }{\frac{V^2}{50} } = \frac{V^2}{75} \times \frac{50}{V^{2} }  = \frac{50}{75}  = \frac{2}{3} = 0.667.

The ratio is 0.667.

amping equipment weighing 6.0 kN is pulled across a frozen lake by means of ahorizontal rope. The coecient of kinetic friction i
Harman [31]

Answer:

Work done = 422.45 kJ

Explanation:

given,

weight of equipment = 6 kN

coefficient of kinetic friction = 0.05

distance up to which it is pulled = 1000 m

constant acceleration = 0.2 m/s²

Work done by the camper = ?

actual acceleration acting a'

m a = m a' - μ mg

a' = a + μ g

a' = 0.2 + 0.05 x 9.8

a' = 0.69 m/s²

Work done = Force x distance

F = m a'

F = \dfrac{6000}{9.8} \times 0.69

F = 422.44897 N

Work done = F x d

Work done = 422.44897 x 1000

Work done = 422449 J

Work done = 422.45 kJ

DesCribed briefly the method you would take in location the position of an object A defined by an ordered pair of value (8,4)
Strike441 [17]

Answer:

Explanation:

The method that I will use to locate the position of an object of ordered pair of value (8, 4) is known as the graphical method. The ordered pair of value (8, 4) is known as the coordinates. In graphical method, the coordinate will be located on the Cartesian plane having both x and y axis. The graph will be a 2-dimensional graph with y-axis being along the vertical and the x-axis along the horizontal.

The coordinates (8, 4) means that the value of x is +8 and the value of y is +4. To locate the point P(8, 4) on the graph, we will have to locate both points on the positive x and y axis respectively and then mark out their point of intersection. This point of intersection will be the position of the object defined as ordered pair of value (8,4).
