Answer:

Protons, Neutrons and Electrons.

Explanation:

The particles of atoms of a element are the particles that together constitutes and present in the atoms of that particular element.

These are Protons, Neutrons and Electrons.

The Protons and Neutrons lies in the center of the atom called nucleus of the atom while electron lies outside of the nucleus in the shells that surrounding the nucleus.

The presence of these particles can be calculated by using the following formulas

Charges of these particles are:

PROTONS= +VE CHARGE

ELECTRONS= -VE CHARGE

NEUTRONS= NO CHARGE

  • number of electrons= number of protons
  • mass number(M) of an atom =no. of protons + no. of neutrons.
  • no. of neutrons  = mass no(M) - atomic number(Z).

Determine the hydronium ion concentration Big Points
nalin [4]

Answer:

[H⁺] = 0.00013 M

[OH⁻] = 7.7 × 10⁻¹¹ M

Explanation:

Step 1: Calculate the concentration of H⁺ ions

HCl is a strong acid that dissociates according to the following equation.

HCl ⇒ H⁺ + Cl⁻

The molar ratio of HCl to H⁺ is 1:1. The concentration of H⁺ is 1/1 × 0.00013 M = 0.00013 M.

Step 2: Calculate the concentration of OH⁻ ions

We will use the ionic product of water equation.

Kw = 10⁻¹⁴ = [H⁺] × [OH⁻]

[OH⁻] = 10⁻¹⁴/[H⁺] = 10⁻¹⁴/0.00013 = 7.7 × 10⁻¹¹ M

What is an acid base indicator
zhenek [66]

Answer:

Acid-base indicators are generally weak proteolytic that change color in solution according to the pH. The acid-base equilibrium of a weak acid type of indicator (HI) in water can be represented as. [I] The acid, HI, and the conjugate base, I−, have different colors. The equilibrium expression for this process is.

If the enthalpy change of a reaction in a flask is δh = +67 kj, what can be said about the reaction?
ziro4ka [17]
Answer : Normally in any chemical reaction, if the enthalpy change i.e. ΔH is positive which means it is greater than zero then it can be called as an Endothermic Reaction.

Whereas, the system under study is absorbing heat that is produced during the reaction. So if  ΔH  is found to be positive then it can be called as endothermic reaction.
