A light-year is the distance light travels in a year.

Light year is often confused with length of time but it is actually the distance. The distance light travels in one year is called one light year.

we know that , speed of light = 3 x 10⁸ m/s

time of a year in seconds = 3.15 x 10⁷ s

distance traveled by light is given as

distance = speed of light x time in year in sec

distance = (3 x 10⁸) x (3.15 x 10⁷)

distance = 9.5 x 10¹⁵ m

The diffraction limit is a limit on: The diffraction limit is a limit on: A telescope's size. A telescope's angular resolution.
Mnenie [13.5K]

Answer:

A telescope's angular resolution.

Explanation:

Diffraction limit is a minimum angular separation of two sources and it can be distinguished by the telescope. This angle is known as the diffraction limit. It is proportional to the wavelength of light and it has an inverse relation with the diameter of the telescope. Mathematically  it is defined as

θ = 1.22λ/d

where θ is the angle, λ wavelength and d is the diameter of the objective mirror (lenz).

The average density of the body of a fish is 1080 kg/m3. To keep from sinking, the fish increases its volumeby inflating an inte
Dimas [21]

Answer:

f = 8 %

Explanation:

given,

density of body of fish = 1080 kg/m³

density of air = 1.2 Kg/m³

density of water = 1000 kg/m²

to protect the fish from sinking volume should increased by the factor f

density of fish + density of water x increase factor = volume changes in water

1080 +f x 1.2 =(1 + f ) x 1000

1080 + f x 1.2 = 1000 + 1000 f

998.8 f = 80

f = 0.0800

f = 8 %

the volume increase factor of fish will be equal to f = 8 %

A generator is designed to produce a maximum emf of 190 V while rotating with an angular speed of 3800 rpm. Each coil of the gen
Zinaida [17]

Answer:

The number of turns of wire needed is 573.8 turns

Explanation:

Given;

maximum emf of the generator, = 190 V

angular speed of the generator, ω = 3800 rev/min =

area of the coil, A = 0.016 m²

magnetic field, B = 0.052 T

The number of turns of the generator is calculated as;

emf = NABω

where;

N is the number of turns

\omega = 3800 \frac{rev}{min} \times \frac{2\pi}{1 \ rev} \times \frac{1 \min}{60 \ s } = 397.99 \ rad/s

N = \frac{emf}{AB\omega } \\\\N = \frac{190}{0.016 \times 0.052\times 397.99} \\\\N = 573.8 \ turns

Therefore, the number of turns of wire needed is 573.8 turns
