It is an example of Self Condensation reaction as both the nucleophile and the electrophile are the same compounds. When Butanal is reacted with base, the hydrogen at alpha position is abstracted due to its mild acidity and enolate is formed. Enolate attacks second Butanal molecule and forms a compound containing both Hydroxyl group and carbonyl group (Beta hydroxy aldehyde). Reaction is shown below and the name of product is specified below its structure,

Answer:

The position of an equilibrium always shifts in such a direction as to relieve a stress applied to the system -Le Chåtelier's principle

A molecule that donates a proton when it encounters a proton acceptor.- Bronsted-Lowry acid

Occurs when a reaction involving an acid and its conjugate base is combined with a second reaction involving a base and its conjugate acid.- Neutralization

It ionizes completely when dissolved in water.- Strong acid

The shift in the position of equilibrium caused by the addition of a participating ion.- Common ion effect

It only partially ionizes when dissolved in water.- Weak electrolyte

It is capable of acting as either an acid or a base depending upon the solute- Amphoteric solvent

The act of self-ionization of a solvent to produce both a conjugate acid and a conjugate base.- Auto-protolysis

A chemical species that bears both positive and negative charges.- Zwitterion

Answer:

Some of the physical and chemical properties of magnesium are:

-The term ‘magnesium’ is derived from the Greek word magnesia, which refers to the name of the place from where it was extracted.

-Magnesium is closely related to manganese and magnetite.

-About 2.1% of the Earth’s crust contains magnesium. This makes magnesium the 6th most found element.

-The biggest deposits of magnesium is found in the seawater. It has been calculated by scientists that a cubic mile of seawater contains about 6 million tons of this element

2nd answer:

Physical Properties of Magnesium: ”I’m a highly stable element, so you can count on me”

Chemical Properties of Magnesium: ”I love to travel but I do corrode aluminum so we won’t be flying off on adventures in airplanes planes anytime soon

An unknown compound has the following chemical formula NxO3 where x stands for a whole number measurements also show that a cert
irina1246 [14]

The complete chemical formula for the unknown compound is N2O3 where X = 2 which is the oxidation state of oxygen.

What is oxidation state?

Oxidation state is the number of electron which the compound is giving or taking from each other to form the bonds as the oxidation is hight oxidation is happening asn if the low then reduction is happening.

In the compound N2O3 the oxidation state of O is 2 and the oxidation stte of N is 3 written in the cross-cross manner in compound.

Therefore, N2O3 where X = 2 which is the oxidation state of oxygen is complete chemical formula for the unknown compound.
