Answer : The wavelength of the radio waves is 6.2\times 10^{-2}m

Explanation : Given,

Frequency = 4.8\times 10^9 Hz

Wave speed = 3.0\times 10^8 m/s

As we know that the speed of a wave is related to its frequency and wavelength.

Formula used:

\nu =f\times \lambda

where,

\nu is the wave speed in metres per second, (m/s )

f is the frequency in hertz, (Hz )

\lambda is the wavelength in metres, (m)

Now putting all the given values in the above formula, we get:

3.0\times 10^8 m/s=(4.8\times 10^9 Hz)\times \lambda

\lambda=6.2\times 10^{-2}m

Therefore, the wavelength of the radio waves is 6.2\times 10^{-2}m

Study this equation carefully. What classification should this reaction have? Cu + 2AgNO3 Cu(NO3)2 + 2Ag synthesis decomposition
mario62 [17]

Answer;

-Single replacement

Explanation;

The reaction;

Cu(s) + 2AgNO3= Cu(NO3)2 + 2Ag , is an example of a single replacement reaction.

-It is a type of chemical reaction where an element reacts with a compound and takes the place of another element in that compound.

In the above reaction copper(Cu) takes the place of silver(Ag) in the salt AgNO3 to form Copper (ii) nitrate (CuNO3) and silver metal (Ag).

- Another example of a single replacement reaction occurs when potassium (K) reacts with water (H2O). A colorless solid compound named potassium hydroxide (KOH) forms, and hydrogen gas (H2) is set free.

A solid cylinder of mass 12.0 kgkg and radius 0.250 mm is free to rotate without friction around its central axis. If you do 75.
dybincka [34]

Answer:

The final angular velocity is 20rad/s

Explanation:

We are given;

mass, m = 12 kg

radius, r = 0.25 m

Work done;W = 75 J

Moment of inertia of cylinder, I = (1/2) mr²

Thus,

I = (1/2) x 12 x 0.25² = 0.375 kg.m²

Now, from work energy theorem,

Work done = Change in kinetic energy

So, W = KE_f - KE_i

Now, Initial Kinetic Energy (KE_i) = 0

Final Kinetic Energy; KE_f = (1/2)Iω²

So, KE_f = (1/2) x 0.375 x ω²

KE_f = 0.1875 ω²

Now, W = 75 J

Thus,

From, W = KE_f - KE_i, we have;

75 = 0.1875 ω² - 0

75 = 0.1875 ω²

ω² = 75/0.1875

ω² = 400

ω = √400

ω = 20 rad/s

A truck is traveling east at 80 km/h. At an intersection 32 km ahead, a car is traveling north at 50 km/h. How long after this m
nirvana33 [79]

The time elapsed when the vehicles are closest to each other is 20 min.

The given parameters:

  • Speed of the truck, u = 80 km/h
  • Distance, d = 32 km
  • Speed of the car, v = 50 km/h

<h3>Principles of relative speed</h3>

The time elapsed when the cars are close to each other is calculated by applying the principles of relative speed.

(V_r) t = d\\\\V_r^2 = 50^2 + 80^2\\\\V_r =\sqrt{50^2 + 80^2} \\\\V_r = 94.34 \ km/h

94.34 t = 32\\\\t = \frac{32}{94.34} \\\\t = 0.34 \ hr\\\\t \approx 20 \min

Thus, the time elapsed when the vehicles are closest to each other is 20 min.
