Answer:

Maximum height attained by the ball will be h = 28.416 m

Explanation:

We have given initial speed of the ball u = 23.6 m /sec

At maximum height velocity will be zero so final velocity v = 0 m/sec

Acceleration due to gravity g=9.8m/sec^2

From law of motion we know that v^2=u^2-2gh

0^2=23.6^2-2\times 9.8\times h

h = 28.416 m

So maximum height attained by the ball will be h = 28.416 m

A 250 mL sample of nitrogen(N2) has a pressure of 745 mm Hg at 30 C.What is the mass of nitrogen?
Lera25 [3.4K]
We assume that nitrogen gas sample here is an ideal gas. So that, we can use the ideal gas equation which is expressed as follows:

PV = nRT

First, we calculate the number of moles from the equation above. Then, use molar mass to calculate mass.

n = PV/RT
n = (745/760) (0.250) / 0.08206 (30+273.15)
n = 0.01 mol

m = 0.01 ( 28) = 0.28 g
