Answer:

Erosion is the constant gnawing, erosion and degradation that occurs on the earth's surface. That is, when external geological forces, such as rivers, glaciers, flowing water, winds or waves, carry along and gnaw rock particles and move material from one location on the earth's surface to another.

The rate of erosion is influenced by climate, topography, the extent of vegetation cover and the properties of the loads. Deforestation and cultivation methods that change the soil structure, for example, make the soil harder so that it does not drain away water so quickly, can increase the erosion rate and cause major damage. It is estimated that 30-40 billion tonnes of land is eroded each year from the world's agricultural areas.

I WILL GIVE BRAINLIEST Which of the following statements is true with regard to transverse and longitudinal waves?
pishuonlain [190]

Answer: Transverse waves have motion perpendicular to velocity, while longitudinal waves have motion parallel to velocity.

Explanation:

Transverse waves are characterized by the fact that the particles of the medium in which they propagate move transversely to the direction of propagation of the wave.

In other words,<u> its displacement is perpendicular to the direction of propagation of the wave</u>, being a good example the circular waves in the water.

On the other hand, Longitudinal waves are characterized by the fact that <u>the oscillation of the particles in the medium is parallel to the direction of propagation of the wave.</u> A good example of this is the sound wave.

Paladinen [302]

Answer: All apply

The periodic table is an arrangement of the chemical elements in the form of a table, ordered by:

-Their atomic number (number of protons)

-Their configuration of electrons

-Their chemical properties

It was progressively developed over time as the scientific knowledge advanced; for this reason many modifications and corrections might be done in the future.

Its usefulness lies in the fact that it allows the existing elements to be organized in a more structured and coherent way, according to the chemical properties they possess. Dividing the table into rows and columns, which represent the periods and groups or families.

Then, with the location and classification of an element according to its group, we can determine how it acts by knowing its chemical and physical characteristics.

This is how with this configuration can be distinguished 4 sets of chemical elements, according to the ease of their atoms to lose or gain electrons, transforming into ions: metals, semimetals, non-metals and noble gases.

This has helped to predict the existence of various elements that have not yet been discovered, because by elements already located in the table and the periodicity found, <u>there are still empty spaces that indicate the composition of the element that has not yet been found</u>.

In addition, this table helps to simplify in some way the teaching of chemical elements and facilitates their learning, as well as their usage in the development of technological innovations.

Answer:

1 mole of H2O is 18 grams (2 g H + 16 g Oxygen)

36 / 18 = 2

So 2 moles = 2 * 6.02E23 = 12.04E23 = 1.204E24

Calculate the magnitude of the electric field inside the solid at a distance of 9.50 cm from the center of the cavity. Express y
WITCHER [35]

Question:

A point charge of -2.14uC  is located in the center of a spherical cavity of radius 6.55cm  inside an insulating spherical charged solid. The charge density in the solid is 7.35×10−4 C/m^3.

a) Calculate the magnitude of the electric field inside the solid at a distance of 9.50cm  from the center of the cavity.

Express your answer using two significant figures.

Answer:

The magnitude of the electric field inside the solid at a distance of 9.50cm from the center of the cavity 3.65\times 10^5N/C

Explanation:

A point charge ,q = -2.14\times 10^{-6} C is located in the center of a spherical cavity of radius , r =6.55\times 10^{-2}  m inside an insulating spherical charged solid.

The charge density in the solid , d = 7.35 \times 10^{-4}C/m^3.

Distance from the center of the cavity,R =9.5\times 10^{-2 }m

Volume of shell of charge= V  =(\frac{4\pi}{3})[ R^3 - r^3 ]

Charge on the shell ,Q = V \times d'

Q =(\frac{4\pi}{3})[ R^3 - r^3 ] \times d

Q = 4.1888*\times 10^{-4 }[8.57375 - 2.81011 ]\times 7.35\times 10^{-4}

Q = 4.1888\times 10^{-4} [5.76364 ] \times 7.35 \times 10^{-4}

Q =2.4143 \times 10^{-4} \times 7.35 \times 10^ { -4}

Q =1.7745 \times 10^{-6 }C

Electric field at 9.5\times 10^{-2}m due to shellE1  = \frac{k Q}{R^2}

E1 =  \frac{ 9 \times 10^9\times 1.7745\times 10^{-6 }}{ 90.25\times 10^{-4}}

E1 =1.769\times 10^6 N/C

Electric field at  9.5\times 10^{-2} due to 'q' at center E2 = \frac{kq}{R^2}

E2 =\frac{ - 9 \times 10^9\times 2.14\times 10^{-6 }}{ 90.25\times 10^{-4}}

E2 =2.134\times 10^6 N/C

The magnitude of the electric field inside the solid at a distance of 9.50cm from the center of the cavity

= E2- E1

=[  2.134  - 1.769 ]\times 10^6

= 3.65\times 10^5 N/C
