How to find the velocity of an object in a circular path?

Distance of an object in a circular path is equal to the circumference of the circular path, so the formula to find speed is -

 Speed = \frac{2 \pi r}{Time}
Speed is there because velocity keeps changing continuously, because of the change of direction.

First of all, let's just talk about the speed, and not get wound up
in the velocity. OK ?

If a fly is sitting on the rim of the wheel and the wheel is rotating, then for
each full revolution of the wheel, the fly travels the circumference of the
wheel, which is (2 π) x (radius of the wheel).

In 'N' revolutions, the fly travels (2 N π) x (the radius). and so on.

So if the wheel is going, let's say 71 revs per minute (RPM), a point
on the rim is moving at (2 π times 71) x (the radius) per minute.

Another way to say it:

Speed of a point on the circle = (2 π) x (rotation frequency) x (radius).

The 'rotation frequency' takes care of the unit of time, and the 'radius'
takes care of the unit of length, so the result is a speed.

A rock is dropped from a vertical cliff. The rock takes 3.00 s to reach the ground below the cliff. A second rock is thrown vert
Phantasy [73]

Answer:

Velocity v= 12.25 \frac{m}{s}

Explanation:

The first rock dropped give the distance Y in meters

Y_{f}=Y_{o}+v_{o}*t +\frac{1}{2}*a*t^{2}\\   Y_{f}=\frac{1}{2}* 9.8 \frac{m}{s^{2} }* 3^{2}   \\Y_{f}=44.1 m

Now the motion of the second rock the time change so to know the velocity

Y_{f}= Y_{o} +v_{o}*t +\frac{1}{2}*a *t^{2} \\v_{o}*t= -Y_{f} +\frac{1}{2} *a*t^{2} \\v_{o} =\frac{-44.1 +0.5 * 9.8* s^{2} }{2} \\v_{o}=  12.25 \frac{m}{s}

If a light ray strikes a flat mirror at an angle of 44° from horizontal the reflected ray will be
ladessa [460]

Answer: The reflected ray will be 44 degrees.

Explanation: The Law of Reflection states the angle of incidence ( the incoming light ray) equals the angle of reflection ( the light ray being reflected) Therefore, the angle of reflection will be 44 degrees.

Hope that helped!

PLS ANSWER FAST WILL GIVE BRAINLY!!!<br><br><br> what is an electron shell
vichka [17]

Answer:

In chemistry and atomic physics, an electron shell may be thought of as an orbit followed by electrons around an atom's nucleus. The closest shell to the nucleus is called the "1 shell", followed by the "2 shell", then the "3 shell", and so on farther and farther from the nucleus.

A person hangs from a nylon rope (Young's modulus of 5 x 109 N/m2) as seen in the picture below. The rope stretches by 2 % and h
disa [49]

Answer:

959183.7 kg

Explanation:

from the question we have :

young modulus = 5 x 10^{9} N/m^{2}

strain = 2% = 2÷100 = 0.02

diameter = 0.03 m

radius = 0.015 m

acceleration due to gravity (g) = 9.8 m/s^{2}

we can get the mass from the formula below

young modulus = stress ÷ strain

where

stress = \frac[force}{area} = \frac {mass x g}{area}

area = 2πr = 2π x 0.015 = 0.094

therefore

young modulus = \frac{\frac {mass x g}{area}}{strain}

 5 x 10^{9}  =  \frac{\frac {mass x 9.8}{0.094}}{0.02}

mass =  \frac{5 x 10^{9} x 0.02 x 0.094}{9.8}

mass = 959183.7 kg
