Lines of latitude are parallel to the equator. This is a big part of the reason that they are often called parallels of latitude.

The answer is C.
they run east to west which makes them parallel to the equator and they measure distances north and south.
I hope this helps.

Nerve cells transmit electric signals through their long tubular axons. These signals propagate due to a sudden rush of Na+ ions
iren [92.7K]

Answer:

I = \frac{9.12x10^{-8} C}{0.007 s}= 1.30285 x10^{-5} \frac{C}{s}=1.30285 x10^{-5} A = 13.02 \mu A

Explanation:

For this case we have the following info given:

Number of Na+ ions 5.7 x10^{11} ions

Each ion have a charge of +e and the crage of the electron is 1.6 x10^{-19}C

The time is given t = 7 ms if we convert this into seconds we got:

t = 7ms * \frac{1s}{1000 ms}= 0.007s

Now we can use the following formula given from the current passing thourhg a meter of nerve axon given by:

Q = Ne

Where N represent the number of ions, e the charge of the electron and Q the total charge

If we replace on this case we have this:

Q= 5.7x10^{11} * (1.6 x10^{-19}C) = 9.12x10^{-8} C

And from the general definition of current we know that:

I =\frac{Q}{t}

And since we know the total charge Q and the time we can replace:

I = \frac{9.12x10^{-8} C}{0.007 s}= 1.30285 x10^{-5} \frac{C}{s}=1.30285 x10^{-5} A = 13.02 \mu A

The current during the inflow charge in the meter axon for this case is 13.02 \mu A

if we ignore air resistance the mass of an object does not affect the rate at which it accelerate why?
quester [9]

Answer:

See explanation

Explanation:

The acceleration due to gravity on an object is independent of the mass of the object. This is so because, the acceleration due to gravity depends only on the radius of the earth and the mass of the earth.

As a result of this, all objects are accelerated to the same extent and should reach the ground at the same time when released from a height as long as other forces other than gravity are not at work.

A 0.10-kg ball, traveling horizontally at 25 m/s, strikes a wall and rebounds at 19 m/s. What is the 7) magnitude of the change
IRISSAK [1]

Answer:

Change in momentum will be -4.4 kgm/sec

So option (A) is correct option

Explanation:

Mass of the ball is given m = 0.10 kg

Initial velocity of ball v_1=25m/sec

And velocity after rebound v_2=-19m/sec

We have to find the change in momentum

So change in momentum is equal to =m(v_2-v_1)=0.1\times (-19-25)=-4.4kgm/sec ( here negative sign shows only direction )

So option (A) will be correct answer
