Where to replace Newton's second law get us

The solution of this equation of a cosenoidal wave, where the angular velocity is

The frequency and angular velocity are related

       w = 2π f

       2π f = √k/m

We can see from these expressions that as long as Hooke's law is fulfilled the frequency does not depend on the amplitude of the oscillation
