A perfectly elastic<span> collision is defined as one in which there is no loss of </span>kinetic energy<span> in the collision. Therefore, we just add the kinetic energies of each system. We calculate as follows:

KE = 0.5(</span>1.0 × 10^3)(12.5 )^2 + 0.5(1.0 × 10^3)(12.5 )^2
KE = 156250 J = 1.6 x 10^5 J -------> OPTION A

What are the magnitude and direction of the acceleration of an electron at a point where the electric field has magnitude 6100 n
Hoochie [10]

Force on electron due to electric field is given by

F = eE

F = 1.6 * 10^{-19}* 6100

F = 9.76 * 10^{-16} N

now the acceleration is given by

a = \frac{F}{m}

a = \frac{9.76 * 10^{-16}}{9.1 * 10^{-31}}

a = 1.07 * 10^{15} m/s^2

so above is the magnitude of acceleration and its direction is opposite to field as electron is negatively charged so direction is towards SOUTH

Couldn’t you technically make infinite speed by putting a car in a vacuum chamber? Since top speed it made by the amount of forc
kakasveta [241]

Answer:

No

Explanation:

For infinite speed to be achevied, one must have no sink of energy to spend. The source of entropy in this example, is the tires hitting the surface, producing heat and friction. Not to mention that you'd still need fuel to start the car, and an infinite tunnel or track, which would be impossible and speed up to process of energy loss through entropy quicker.
