Which is the best example of Newton's First Law of Motion? A small, lightweight ball and a large, heavy ball are dropped off the

top of a very tall building. They both strike the ground at the same time. A basketball player shoots the ball from half court. It soars toward the basket until another player taps it making it go in a different direction. It takes you more effort to move a large box across the room than it does to move a small box across the room. You push your little sister on the swings at the park. You push harder and she ends up swinging higher.

I believe the best example of Newton's First Law of motion would be the example or illustration with the basketball player. An object will move in a straight line or a given direction at a constant speed unless or until another force acts upon the object, causing a change in speed and or direction.

Real springs have mass. How will the true period andfrequency
Ad libitum [116K]

Explanation:

An perfect mass less spring, attached at one end and with a free mass attached at the other end, will have a distinct frequency of oscillation depending on its constant spring and mass. On the other hand, a spring with mass along its length will not have a characteristic frequency of oscillation.

Alternatively, based on its spring constant and mass per length, it will now have a wave Speed. It would be possible to use all wavelengths and frequencies, as long as the component fλ= S, where S is the spring wave size. If that sounds like longitudinal waves, like solid sound waves.

A spherical snowball melts at a rate proportional to its surface area. (a) write a differential equation for its volume, v. (use
tresset_1 [31]

Answer:

Explanation:

The rate of change in volume is proportional to the surface area:

dV/dt = kA

Integrating:

V = kAt + C

At t=0, V = s, so:

s = kA(0) + C

C = s

Therefore:

V = kAt + s

How is the acceleration of a car traveling on an elevated air track related to the angle of elevation and the height of elevatio
vitfil [10]

on a given inclined we know that net force is given by

F_{net} = - mgsin\theta

here we know that

F_{net} = ma

so here we have

ma = - mg sin\theta

a = - gsin\theta

so here acceleration depends directly on angle of inclination

now we also know that if height of the inclined is H and its length is L

then we can write

sin\theta = \frac{H}{L}

so the acceleration is given as

a = - g*\frac{H}{L}

so acceleration also depends directly on height of the inclined plane

2- A car on a straight highway goes in the positive direction for 8 km and then backs up for 3.6 km. What are the distance and d
IRISSAK [1]

Answer:

11.6km

4.4km in the negative direction

Explanation:

Distance is the total length of path covered and traveled by a body.

So, for this car on a straight line;

  Total distance  = 8km + 3.6km  = 11.6km

Displacement is the distance traveled along a path and the direction it takes.

It is a vector quantity with magnitude and directional attributes.

For this journey;

 Displacement  = 8km  - 3.6km  = 4.4km in the negative direction.
