Answer:

The most important nutrients (Biomolecules) found in living things are:

Carbohydrates ,Proteins , Nucleic acid , lipids etc.

Explanation:

1. Carbohydrates :

Some common examples of carbohydrates are : Sugar . Glucose , starch etc.

They are defined as optically active polyhydroxy aldehyde or ketones. They are classified into three main categories:

a). Monosaccharide : These are smallest carbohydrates which can not be hydrolysed .Example : Glucose

b) Oligosaccharide : Examples of such carbohydrates are mannose and sucrose

c). Polysaccharide : examples of such carbohydrates are : Starch , cellulose

2. Proteins : The chief source of protein are : milk , cheese , pulses, peanut etc

They occur in every part of the body and very necessary for the life processes.

Proteins are the polymers of amino acids.

There are two types of amino-acid :

Essential amino acid : Those amino acids which are not synthesized by the body but must be required by the body . example : Histidine

Non - essential : Which are synthesized by the body. example :Serine

3. Nucleic Acid : Nucleic acid are responsible for transfer of character from parents to off-springs. There are two type of nucleic acid :

DNA = Deoxy ribo nucleic acid

RNA = Ribo nucleic acid

In an experiment to determine if the height of a cake is determined by the temperature at which is cooked, measuring the height
Bezzdna [24]

Answer:

 • Dependent variable

Explanation:

In a controlled experiment there will be one independent variable, one dependent variable, and some controlled or constant parameters.

The target of the expermiment is to tes how the dependent variable changes with the independent variable.

So, the scientist will change (manipulate) the independent variable and measure the dependent vabiales.

Here, the temperature will be manipulated (within a range), so this is the independent variable; the height of the cake is the variable whose behavior wants to be determined, so this is the dependent variable. Controlled variables or constants may include the mixture, the size of the pan, the time of cooking, the oven, among others.
