Answer:

a) The proeutectoid phase is known like cementite and its chemical formula is Fe₃C

b) The kilograms of total ferrite and is 0.8311 kg

The kilograms of total cementite is 0.1689 kg

c) The kilograms of total cementite is 0.9343 kg

Explanation:

Given:

1 kg of austenite

1.15 wt% C

Cooled to below 727°C

Questions:

a) What is the proeutectoid phase?

b) How many kilograms each of total ferrite and cementite form, Wf = ?, Wc = ?

c) How many kilograms each of pearlite and the proeutectoid phase form, Wp = ?

d) Schematically sketch and label the resulting microstructure

a) The proeutectoid phase is known like cementite and its chemical formula is Fe₃C

b) To get the mass of the total ferrite form:

W_{f} =\frac{C_{cementite}-C_{2}  }{C_{cementite}-C_{1}  }

Here,

Ccementite = composition of cementite = 6.7 wt%

C₁ = composition of phase 1 = 0.022 wt%

C₂ = composition of alloy = 1.15 wt%

Substituting values:

W_{f} =\frac{6.7-1.15}{6.7-0.022} =0.8311kg

To get the mass of the total cementite:

W_{c} =\frac{C_{2}-C_{1}}{C_{cementite}-C_{1} } =\frac{1.15-0.022}{6.7-0.022} =0.1689kg

c) The mass of pearlite:

W_{p} =\frac{6.7-1.15}{5.94} =0.9343kg

d) In the diagram you can see the different compositions (pearlite, proeutectoid cementite, ferrite, eutectoid cementite)

Answer:

Check the explanation

Explanation:

The Total pressure is the overall of fixed or static pressure p, the dynamic pressure q, as well as gravitational head. Total pressure can also be referred to as the measure of the overall energy of the airstream, and is the same to static pressure plus velocity pressure.

kindly check the step by step solution in the attached image below to Determine the (P0/Pt) values corresponding to the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd critical points.

Assign deliveryCost with the cost (in dollars) to deliver a piece of baggage weighing baggageWeight. The baggage delivery servic
Sholpan [36]

Answer: y = x * 1dollars - 30dollars

Explanation:

Giving that the delivery cost in dollar is potent for all x > = 50 pounds of wght

Y = (x - 50)*1 dollar + c ...equ 1

Y = delivery cost equation in dollars

x = weigt of baggage for delivery

c = 20dollars = down payment for the first 50 pound weight of baggage

Equ 1 becomes

Y = (x)dollars - 50 dollars + 20 dollars

Y = (x) dollars -30 dollars

Explain the Corona discharge?
rosijanka [135]

Answer:

• Corona discharge means <u> </u><u>neutralization</u><u> </u><u>of</u><u> </u><u>charge</u><u> </u><u>action</u><u> </u><u>at</u><u> </u><u>a</u><u> </u><u>sharp</u><u> </u><u>point</u>

example; a pear shaped conductor, lightening conductor, van de graaf generator.

Explanation:

• In corona discharge, When a sharp conductor is placed somewhere in open space. The charges of opposite chrage attract the opposite ions in the air around that conductor.

• This increases the charge density and electric field intensity at the sharp point, this neutralises the charge at sharp point hence a discharge known as corona discharge occurs.
