we know that speed =v=m/s=v=d/t=?

we are given =d=40m

and time=t=5.79 second

then

v=d/t=40/5.79

speed=v=6.9 m/s

What is 800,000,000 meters in scientific notation
Paladinen [302]

8 x 10^8 = 800,000,000

In Scientific Notation, your goal is to get your the number you're multiplying by 10 (8 in this case) to be between 0 and 10.  Therefore, you would NOT have 80 x 10^7 because 80 is not between 0 and 10.

How do I differentiate between final and initial velocity in Physics?
pychu [463]

Answer:

Initial velocity describes how fast an object travels when gravity first applies force on the object. On the other hand, the final velocity is a vector quantity that measures the speed and direction of a moving body after it has reached its maximum acceleration.

If a bow holds 500J of potential energy as the arrow is pulled back, how much kinetic energy will the arrow have after it has be
ale4655 [162]

Answer:

500J

Explanation:

The arrow will have an energy of 500J after it has been released from its state of rest.

This is compliance with the law of conservation of energy which states that "in every system, energy is neither created nor destroyed but transformed from one form to another".

  • The energy at rest which is the potential energy is 500J
  • This energy will be converted to kinetic energy in total after the arrow has been released.
  • This way, no energy is lost and we can account for the energy transformations occurring.

Charge is distributed uniformly on the surface of a large flat plate. the electric field 2 cm from the plate is 30 n/c. the elec
AysviL [449]
The electric field produced by a large flat plate with uniform charge density on its surface can be found by using Gauss law, and it is equal to
E= \frac{\sigma}{2\epsilon_0}
where
\sigma is the charge density
\epsilon_0 is the vacuum permittivity

We see that the intensity of the electric field does not depend on the distance from the plate. Therefore, the strenght of the electric field at 4 cm from the plate is equal to the strength of the electric field at 2 cm from the plate:
E=30 N/C
