The metals will lose electrons while the non metals will gain electrons in order to attain octet structure.

An ion can be cation (positively charged) or anion (negatively charged).

Cations attain octet structure (8) by losing electron(s) while anions become stable or attains octet structure (8) by gaining electron(s).

The remaining elements are completed as follows to attain octet structure;

Element--valence electron--electrons to gain--electrons to lose--ion formed

How is weight affected by gravity
Ira Lisetskai [31]
The higher levels of gravity put on an object the more weight the object has. For example someone who weighs say 100 lbs would weigh more if higher amounts of gravity would be applied to them. And less if less gravity was applied. But larger objects will automatically have more gravity applied to them than something smaller due to the gravitational pull needing to pull harder to keep the object to the planet's surface. Hope this helps! :)

The heating curve shows the energy gain of a substance as it changes from solid to gas. Which section of the graph shows the liq
Schach [20]

Answer:

C. C

Explanation:

The heating curve is a graphical representation shows that how different phases of substances change as it is influenced by the increase in temperature or heat.

Section A represents solid phase, Section B represents solid-liquid phase, section C represents liquid phase, section D represent liquid-gas phase and section E represents gas phase.

Section C of the graph shows the liquid phase of the substance gaining kinetic energy. During Phase C, heat energy is absorbed and liquid particles gain kinetic energy to change into gas form that is section E.

Hence, the correct option is C.C.
