Machines make work easier even if they still require the same amount of work to be done. We humans get tired because we do not have constant source of energy for the work to be done.Machines have a constant source of energy such as electricicity. Humans too will work at the same rate without getting tired if they are also provided with constant energy.

When light in vacuum is incident at the polarizing angle (Brewster's angle) on a certain glass slab, the angle of refraction is
marysya [2.9K]

Answer:

Explanation:

θ( p ) + θ( r ) = 90

θ (r) = angle of refraction and θ ( p ) is polarising angle.

given θ ( r ) = 31.8

θ ( p ) = 90 - 31.8 = 58.2 degree

ii ) Tanθ ( p ) = n ( refractive index ) = Tan 58.2 = 1.6

Jazz is a 172 lb athlete who exercised at 7.6 METs. At this workload, what is his energy expenditure in kcals/min.? Round to the
dezoksy [38]

Answer:

Energy expenditure in K cals/min = 10 K cals /min (approximately)

Explanation:

As we know

Energy expenditure in Kcal/min=  METs x 3.5 x Body weight (kg) / 200

Given is METs=7.6

Weight of Jazz= 172lb=78.02kg

putting the values in formula,

Energy expenditure in K cals/min=  7.6 x 3.5 x 78.02 / 200

                                                       =10.38 K cals /min

                                                       =10 K cals /min (approximately)

Therefore, Energy expenditure in K cals/min by Jazz will be approximately 10 K cals /min
