Answer:

Acceleration of the cat (after the initial moment of the jump) is -9.8 m/s^2

Explanation:

If we consider the motion of the cat just after the moment of the jump, and we neglect air resistance, we can notice that there is only one force acting on the cat: the force of gravity, which acts downward, and whose magnitude is equal to the weight of the cat:

F=mg (1)

where m is the cat's mass and g=-9.8 m/s^2 is the acceleration due to gravity.

Newton's second law states that the acceleration of the cat is given by

F=ma

Re-arranging it,

a=\frac{F}{m}

And inserting eq.(1), we find

a=\frac{mg}{m}=g=-9.8 m/s^2

where the negative sign means the direction is downward.

Since, A cat is jumps from a floor to counter top its acceleration will be downward. That means acceleration due to gravity "g" will be downward. When a body moves downward we know that a=+g

By Newton's second law F=ma

mg=ma

a=g m/sec^{2}

That is, a=9.81 m/sec^{2} (downward).

Un tubo cilindrico hueco de cobre mide 3 m de longitud tienen un diametro exterior de 4cm y un diametro interior de 2 cm¿cuanto
Irina-Kira [14]

Answer:

 W = 9.93 10² N

Explanation:

To solve this exercise we must use the concept of density

           ρ = m / V

the tabulated density of copper is rho = 8966 kg / m³

let's find the volume of the cylindrical tube

           V = A L

           V = π (R_ext  ² - R_int ²) L

let's calculate

          V = π (4² - 2²) 10⁻⁴  3

          V = 1.13 10⁻²  m³

         m = ρ V

        m = 8966 1.13 10⁻²

        m = 1.01 10² kg

the weight of the tube

        W = mg

         W = 1.01 10² 9.8

         W = 9.93 10² N
