1. The chemical reactions cannot be used for \boxed{{\text{viewing any chemical reaction in the laboratory}}{\text{.}}}

2. Magnesium is {\text{dangerous to look at when it burns and}} \hfill\ {\text{used in photography, fireworks, and flares}} \hfill \ }.

The result of a chemical reaction is a  \boxed{{\text{product}}}.

Further explanation:

1. A chemical reaction involves a combination of two or more substances known as reactants that combine together in fixed ratio and form products on the completion of the reaction. The criteria for determining a chemical reaction is that it must involve either one of the following changes.

1. A change in the state of the matter when going from reactants to the products side.

2. A change in the color.

3. A change in the reaction temperature.

4.The evolution of some gas at the end of the reaction.

2. A chemical reaction is often described in terms of a simplified equation known as the chemical equation. This represents all the reactants involved and the reaction conditions that lead to a particular product. For example, the reaction of magnesium \left( {{\mathbf{Mg}}} \right) with air \left( {{\mathbf{MgO}}} \right) can be represented by the chemical equation as follows:

 \begin{aligned}{\text{Mg}} + {{\text{O}}_{\text{2}}}\to {\text{MgO}} \hfill\\{\text{Reactants     product}} \hfill\\\end{aligned}

The reactions that are accompanied by the liberation of an enormous amount of heat is termed as exothermic reactions. The combustion of magnesium is a highly exothermic reaction and magnesium burns with an intense dazzling flame. Hence it is advised not to directly look at the burning magnesium.

3. The reaction occurs in accordance with the law of conservation of mass that states that total mass of the reactant combining must be equal to the products formed. Hence every chemical equation obeys the law of conservation of mass and must be balanced. The balanced chemical equation reveals the amount of each reactant that combines to form a particular product. Therefore a balanced chemical equation does provide a lot of quantitative data regarding the number of molecules of the reactant combining along with the nature and kind of a chemical reaction.

Need helpppppp hurry pls, i just really need help
mojhsa [17]

Answer:

6.8 mole of O₂

Explanation:

Given expression:

       2H₂   +   O₂   →   2H₂O

Number of moles of H₂ = 13.6moles

Unknown:

Number of moles of O₂  = ?

Solution:

In the given problem, we are to find the number of moles of oxygen gas that will use up 13.6mole of hydrogen gas;

 From the reaction equation;

             2 mole of H₂ will completely react with 1 mole of O₂

         13.6 moles of H₂ will completely be used up by \frac{13.6}{2} mole of  O₂

                                                                                        = 6.8 mole of O₂

Q = mCΔT
Q is heat in Joules, m is mass, C is the specific heat of water, delta T is the change in temperature

Q = (35g)(4.18)(35 degrees) = 5121 Joules or 5.12 kJ required

Since acids have 1 more proton (H+ - ions) than base, and the acid gives it away, doesn't that mean that they switch roles? Acid
andreev551 [17]

Answer:

In an acid-base equilibrium, acid becomes a conjugate base and base becomes a conjugate acid.

Explanation:

Let's remember the Bronsted-Lowry theory to answer this specific question. According to the theory, acid is a proton donor, while a base is a proton acceptor.

Consider an acid in a form HA (aq) and base in a form of B (aq). Since acid is a proton donor, it will donate its hydrogen ion to the base, B. The resultant products would be A^{-} (aq) and BH^{+} (aq).

Remember that an acid-base reaction is an equilibrium reaction. This means we may also look at this proton transfer reaction from the product side towards the reactants. Summarizing what has been said, we may write the equilibrium as:

HA (aq) + B (aq) ⇄ BH^{+} (aq) + A^{-} (aq)

Now acid, HA, donates a proton to become a conjugate base. The conjugate base, if we look from the reverse equation side, is actually a base, since it can accept a proton to become HA. Similarly, B accepts a proton to become a conjugate acid. Looking from the reverse reaction, it can now donate a proton, so in reality we can consider it a base.

To summarize, your logic is correct.
