Consider a 50-turn circular loop with a radius of 1.75 cm in a 0.25-T magnetic field. This coil is going to be used in a galvano

meter that reads 65 for a full-scale deflection. Such devices use spiral springs which obey an angular form of Hooke's law, where the restoring torque is Here x is the torque constant and ? is the angular displacement, in radians, of the spiral spring from equilibrium, where the magnetic field and the normal to the loop are parallel ? 50%
Part (a) Calculate the maximum torque, in newton meters, on the loop when the full-scale current flows in it
Part (b) What is the torque constant of the spring, in newton meters per radian, that must be used in this device?

Answer:

(a) τ = 0.782Nm

(b) x = 0.747Nm/rad

Explanation:

Given that

N = 50, r = 1.75cm = 1.75×10-²m, B = 0.25T, I = 65A.

The torque on a coil of N turns of wire is given by

τ = NIAB

From the problem statement, this torque can also be represented by an angular form of hooke's law.

τ = xθ

Where N = number of turns, I = current in amps (A), A = area in m², B = magnetic field strength in T, x = torque constant in Nm/rad and θ = angular displacement.

Area A = πr² = π×(1.75×10-²)² = 9.62×10-⁴m²

(a) τ = NIAB = 50×65×9.62×10-⁴×0.25

τ = 0.782Nm

(b) x = τ/θ

θ = 60° = 60×2π/360 = π/3 rad

x = 0.782/(π/3)

x = 0.747Nm/rad.

Which statement best explains the relationship between the electric force between two charged objects and the distance between t
spin [16.1K]
Unfortunately, the given statements are missing from the problem. However, we can still determine the relationship between the electric force between two objects and the distance between them. The formula for the electric force is given below:

F = (k*Q1*Q2)/d^2

k is a constant, while Q1 and Q2 are the respective charges of the objects. F is force, while d is distance.

As seen in the formula, we can see that the electric force F is inversely proportional to the square of the distance between the two objects.

Which characteristics belong to Whittaker’s classification system? Select two options.
Lana71 [14]

Answer:

Five kingdoms & Seven levels

Explanation:

Robert H. Whittaker proposed five kingdom classical system for living organisms in 1969. These were: Kingdom Monera, Kingdom Protista, Kingdom Fungi, Kingdom Animalia, and Kingdom Plantae. His work was the improvement of earlier work conducted by Carl Linnaeus who proposed three kingdom classification system (Animalia, Plantae, and Protista).

Whittaker's system further categorized each kingdom to seven levels. These were: Kingdom → Phylum  →  Class  →   Order  →   Family →   Genus  →   Species. This categorization was based on similarities in organisms at different levels.

PS: The scientific name of each organism is the combination of genus and family name.

Why on earth the sky is in blue colour but it is black on the moon?
Damm [24]
This is beacuse it is caused by light scattering of light in the atmosphere. When the moon rises blue light is caused and scattered also caused by earth's atmosphere and it is black on the moon as there is no lunar atmosphere , so no light scattering.
