Answer:

The material cost for making one ton of the brass sample that I have is $8149.04.

Explanation:

Density of copper = 8.96 g/cm^3 = 8.96×10^-3 kg/cm^3

Price of copper = $6.13/kg

Price of copper per volume = 8.96×10^-3 kg/cm^3 × $6.13/kg = $0.0549/cm^3

Density of zinc = 7.14 g/cm^3 = 7.14×10^-3 kg/cm^3

Price of zinc = $1.8/kg

Price of zinc per volume = 7.14×10^-3 kg/cm^3 × $1.8/kg = $0.0129/cm^3

Price of brass per volume = 0.0549 + 0.0129 = $0.0678/cm^3

Density of brass I have is 8.32 g/cm^3 = 8.32 g/cm^3 × 1 kg/1000 g × 1 ton/1000 kg = 8.32×10^-6 ton/cm^3

Price = $0.0678/cm^3 ÷ 8.32×10^-6 ton/cm^3 = $8149.04/ton

Answer:

  The Price of making 1 Ton of Brass is  =  $4180.4

Explanation:

Generally density of an alloy is mathematically represented as

              Z = \sum A *\rho

  Where Z is the Average density of an alloy

               A is the fraction of metal

               \rho is the density of metal

From the question we are told that  brass  is an alloy made of copper and zinc

 Let assume that the percentage of copper in Brass is y%

   The the percentage of the zinc would be  (100 - y )%

   Substituting this into the formula

                8.32 g/cm^3 =\frac{y}{100} * 8.96 + \frac{(100 -x)}{100} * 7.14

=>              832 = 8.96y  + 714 - 7.14y

=>             8.96y - 7.14y = 832-714

=>              1.82y = 118

=>                    y = \frac{118}{1.82} = 64.84%

    This implies that the percentage of copper in Brass is 64.84%

        This mean that the percentage of zinc in Brass is (100- 64.84) = 35.16%

   Generally One Ton of Brass =  907.185Kg

So amount of copper in this is

                   = \frac{64.84}{100} * 907.185 = 588.29 Kg

And the price would be   = 588.29 * 6.13 = $3606

And the amount of zinc is  = \frac{35.16}{100} * 907.185 =318.97Kg

And the price would be   = 318.97 * 1.80= $574.146

  The Price of making 1 Ton of Brass is  = 3606 + 574.146 = $4180.4

A moving particle encounters an external electric field that decreases its kinetic energy from 9970 eV to 6340 eV as the particl
marusya05 [52]

Answer:

q = -1.61x10⁻¹⁷ C

Explanation:

The charge of the particle can be found using the definition of the work done by electric force:

W = -q\Delta V         (1)

<u>Where</u>:

q: is the charge

ΔV: is the difference in electric potential

The work is also equal to:

W = E_{p_{A}} - E_{p_{B}}    (2)

<u>Where</u>:

E_{p_{A}} and E_{p_{B}} are the electric potential energy of the points A and B, respectively.

Now, by conservation of energy we have:

K_{A} + E_{p_{A}} = K_{B} + E_{p_{B}}     (3)

<u>Where</u>:

K_{A} and K_{B} are the kinetic energy of the points A and B, respectively.

Rearranging equation (3):

K_{B} - K_{A} = E_{p_{A}} - E_{p_{B}}

K_{B} - K_{A} = W

K_{B} - K_{A} = -q\Delta V

Solving the above equation for q:

q = -\frac{K_{B} - K_{A}}{V_{B} - V_{A}} = -\frac{6340 eV - 9970 eV}{19.0 V - 55.0 V} = -100.83 e \cdot \frac{1.6 \cdot 10^{-19} C}{1 e} = -1.61 \cdot 10^{-17} C

Therefore, the charge of the particle is -1.61x10⁻¹⁷ C.

I hope it helps you!

D=Vot+1/2at^2

Vot= 0 since there is no initial velocity in the y direction.

a=gravitational acceleration which is - 32 ft/s^2 in imperial units I believe.

She travels a distance of -2 miles, so

-2 miles= 1/2(-32ft/s^2)t^2

t= square root((- 4 miles)/(-32ft/s^2))

I don't know imperial units, but convert miles to feet then solve for t.

DENIUS [597]
The function of the crankshaft is to convert the up-and-dwon motion of the piston into rotary motion that can be used to power the vehicle.

I attache an image of a crankshaft.

The pistons are connected to the crank pins ans when the pistons move up an down the crankshaft rotate, and so the recoprating movement of the pistons is converted into rotary motion.
