OK think of it distance,The smaller the distance less momentum  is needed the Longer the distance the the longer the momentum is needed.

Answer:

The minimum impulse and force will be in the cannon of length 1 m.

Explanation:

Identical cannonballs are fired with the same force, one each from four cannons having bores lengths of 1 m, 2 m, 2.5 m, and 3 m. The force acting on the ball increases with the length of the bore.

We have the length of four bores, we need to study the force acting on the ball. As the force increases with the length, if we organize the bores according to the length values, we can estimate the forces. We need the minimum Force.

L1 = 1

L2 = 2

L3 = 2.5

L4 = 3

L4 > L3 > L2 > L1.

As the minimum length is L1, the force of L1 should be the minimum.

F4 > F3 > F2 > F1.

Finally, we can conclude that: The minimum impulse and force will be in the cannon of length 1 m.

Charge is flowing through a conductor at the rate of 420 C/min. If 742 J. of electrical energy are converted to heat in 30 s., w
Y_Kistochka [10]

Answer:

3.53 V

Explanation:

Electric charge: The is the rate of flow of electric charge along a conductor.

The S.I unit of electric charge is C.

Mathematically it is expressed as,

Q = It ............................ Equation 1

Where Q = electric charge, I = current, t = time.

I = Q/t.......................... Equation 2

From the question, charge flows through the conductor at the rate of 420 C/mim

Which means in 1 min, 420 C of charge flows through the conductor.

Hence,

Q = 420 C, t = 1 min = 60 seconds

Substitute into equation 2

I = 420/60

I =7 A

Also

P = VI......................... Equation 3

Where P = power, V = potential drop, I = current.

V = P/I................... Equation 4

Note: Power = Energy/time

From the question, P = 742/30 = 24.733 W. and I = 7 A.

Substitute these values into equation 4

V = 24.733/7

V = 3.53 V

Hence the potential drop across the conductor =  3.53 V

As a student in a physics lab, you are asked to classify two springs. Right away you notice some differences. The first spring,
strojnjashka [21]

Answer:

C. The spring constant of spring 2 is larger than spring 1.

Explanation:

As we know that spring constant also called the stiffness constant of a spring is the value of force required for the deformation of the spring by a unit length.

Mathematically given as:

k=\frac{F}{\delta x}

where:

k= stiffness constant

F= force on the spring

\delta x= change in length of the spring

It is given in the question that spring 1 is easily compressible and requires less force to compress as compared to spring 2 and hence it has lesser stiffness constant than that of spring 2.

A star near the visible edge of a galaxy travels in a uniform circular orbit. It is 41,200 ly (light-years) from the galactic ce
Ronch [10]

The total mass of the galaxy is 443.4 Solar mass

Orbital velocity (v) = \sqrt{\frac{MG}{R} }

where M= weight of galaxy

G= gravitational constatnt = 6.674*10^-^1^1 (given)

R = distance from centre = 41200 Light years (given)= 4.12*9.5*10^1^6  km (1 ly= 9.5*10^3 billion km)

v= orbital velocity = 275  km/s (given)

∴ According to the formula

(2.75*10^2)^2 = \frac{M*6.674*10^-^1^1}{4.12*9.5*10^1^6}

⇒ 7.56*10^4*4.12*9.5*10^1^6=M*6.674*10^-^1^1 (cross multiplying and expanding)

⇒ 29.59*10^2^1=M*6.674*10^-^1^1

⇒ \frac{29.59*10^2^1*10^1^1}{6.674}=M

⇒ 4.434*10^3^2=M

1 solar mass = 1.989*10^3^0 kg

⇒ Mass in solar mass =443.4 Solar mass

⇒ M = 443.4 Solar mass
