The chemical reactions differ primarily in the speed at which they take place. Some take years to attain equilibrium, while some are basically instantaneous. The rate of reaction of a given chemical reaction is the determination of the change in the concentration of the products or the change in the concentration of the reactants per unit time.

With time, as the reaction reaches dynamic equilibrium, the concentration of the reactants, that is, A and B reduce and the concentration of the product, that is, C elevates. This is due to the fact that the chemical reactions seem to shift towards the product(s) end.

Over time, as the reaction approaches dynamic equilibrium, the concentrations of A and B will decrease and the concentration of C will increase. This is because chemical reactions tend to shift towards the side of the product(s).

Hope this helps!

Use the helium-4 isotope to define atomic number and mass number. why does knowledge of atomic number enable us to deduce the nu
Nuetrik [128]
Helium - 4 isotope has 2 protons and 2 neutrons.

Its atomic number is 2 (the number of protons). Atomic number is the number of protons in the atom of an element and it identifies the element. All the isotopes of an element have the same atomic number (same number of protons). So, all the isotopes of hellium have 2 protons.

The number 4 that identifies the helium - 4 isotope is the mass number, i.e. the number of protons plus the number of neutron. So, helium-4 isotope has 2 protons and 2 neutrons. While, other isotopes of helium have 2 protons but different number of neutrons.

The atomic number enable us to deduce the number of electrons in an atom because the atoms are neutral, which implies that the positive and negative charge are equal. Given that the magnitude of the charge of electons and protons are equal but the sign is opposed (protons are positve and electrons are negative) the number of electrons in the atom equals the number of protonts. That is why the atomic number is also the number of electrons of the atom.

1.034 g of a metal sulfate hydrate (if you have not heard of hydrates, look up online or in your lecture course textbook) was he
OverLord2011 [107]

Answer:

7.54%

Explanation:

A hydrate is a salt that has molecules of water incorporated into the crystals. It is represented by the molecular formula of the salt followed by how many molecules of water it has: XY.nH₂O.

So, the mass of water in the sample will be the difference between the hydrate and the salt without water:

mass of water = 1.034 - 0.956 = 0.078 g

The mass percentage is the mass of water divided by the total mass, and then multiplied by 100%:

(0.078/1.034)x100%

7.54%

What is the meaning of<br> 3 CO2 in a chemical reaction?
puteri [66]

Three is simply the coefficient which tells you the amount of molecules. In this case, there are three carbon dioxide molecules. If you want to break it down further, it also means there is three carbon atoms and six oxygen atoms.

I hope this helps.
