Zero lone pairs of electrons, because the water molecule is a bent shape, meaning that the atom in the center has the lone pairs of electrons which is Oxygen, not Hydrogen.

There are no lone pair of electrons shown around the hydrogen atoms, rather there are 2 lone election pairs present around the central atom in this Lewis structure and that is Oxygen. Hydrogen only has bonding electrons, and it requires 2 electrons per hydrogen to achieve stability and have a full valence electron shell.

Calculate the molar mass of B(NO3)3 ?
Stella [2.4K]

The molar mass of B(NO₃)₃ - Boron nitrate : 196.822 g/mol

Further explanation

In stochiometry therein includes

Relative atomic mass (Ar) and relative molecular mass / molar mass (M)

So the molar mass of a compound is given by the sum of the relative atomic mass of Ar

M AxBy = (x.Ar A + y. Ar B)

The molar mass of B(NO₃)₃ - Boron nitrate :

M B(NO₃)₃ = Ar B + 3. Ar N + 9.Ar O

M B(NO₃)₃ = 10.811 + 3. 14,0067 + 9. 15,999

M B(NO₃)₃ = 196.822 g/mol

write a balanced chemical equation for each single replacement reaction that takes place in aqueous solution. write no reaction
Illusion [34]

The question is incomplete, here is the complete question:

Write a balanced chemical equation for each single replacement reaction that takes place in aqueous solution. write no reaction if a reaction does not occur

1.) Zn + PbCl₂

2.) Cu + Fe(NO₃)₂

Answer:

For 1: The reaction does occur.

For 2: The reaction does not occur.

Explanation:

Single displacement reaction is defined as the reaction in which more reactive element displaces a less reactive element.

The reactivity of metal is determined by a series known as reactivity series. The metals lying above in the series are more reactive than the metals which lie below in the series.

A+BC\rightarrow AC+B

For the given options:

 • For 1:

Zinc is more reactive than lead as it lies above in the series. So, it will displace lead from its chemical equation.

The chemical equation for the reaction of zinc and lead chloride follows:

Zn+PbCl_2\rightarrow ZnCl_2+Pb

 • For 2:

Copper is less reactive than iron as it lies below in the series. So, it will not displace iron from its chemical equation.

The chemical equation for the reaction of copper and iron (II) nitrate follows:

Cu+Fe(NO_3)_2\rightarrow \text{No reaction}

Stells [14]
Nitrogen can make bonds with other atoms.. Typically though it only makes 3 bonds, so it fills its octet.
