Answer:

Ep= 3.8 10⁵ N/C

Explanation:

Conceptual analysis

The electric field at a point P due to a point charge is calculated as follows:

E = k*q/d²

E: Electric field in N/C

q: charge in Newtons (N)

k: electric constant in N*m²/C²

d: distance from charge q to point P in meters (m)

Equivalence

1nC= 10⁻⁹C

1cm= 10⁻²m

Data

k= 9*10⁹ N*m²/C²

q₁ =+7.5 nC = +7.5*10⁻⁹C

q₂ = -2.0 nC = -2.0*10⁻⁹C

d₁ =d₂ = 1.5cm = 1.5 *10⁻²m = 0.015 m

Calculation of the electric fieldsat the midpoint (P) between the two charges

Look at the attached graphic:

E₁: Electric Field at point ;Due to charge q₁. As the charge q₁ is positive negative (q₁+), the field leaves the charge .

E₂: Electric Field at point : Due to charge q₂. As the charge q₂ is negative (q₂-) ,the field enters the charge

E₁ = k*q₁/d₁² = 9*10⁹ *7.5 *10⁻⁹/ ( 0.015 )² = 3*10⁵ N/C

E₂ = k*q₂/d₂²= 9*10⁹ *2*10⁻⁹/( 0.015 )² = 0.8*10⁵ N/C

The electric field at a point P due to several point charges is the vector sum of the electric field due to individual charges.

Ep= E₁ + E₂

Ep= 3*10⁵ N/C + 0.8*10⁵ N/C

Ep= 3.8 10⁵ N/C

Arrange the following substances in order of decreasing magnitude of lattice energy.
kolbaska11 [484]
The formula is F = ( q1 * q2 ) / r ^ 2
where: q is the individual charges of each ion
r is the distance between the nuclei
The formula is not important but to explain the relationship between the atoms in the compounds and their lattice energy.

From the formula we can first conclude that compounds of ions with greater charges will have a greater lattice energy. This is a direct relationship.
For example, the compounds BaO and SrO, whose ions' charges are ( + 2 ) and ( - 2 ) respectively for each, will have greater lattice energies that the compounds NaF and KCl, whose ions' charges are ( + 1 ) and ( - 1 ) respectively for each.

So Far: ( BaO and SrO ) > ( NaF and KCl )

The second part required you find the relative distance between the atoms of the compounds. Really, the lattice energy is stronger with smaller atoms, an indirect relationship.
For example, in NaF the ions are smaller than the ions in KCl so it has a greater lattice energy. Because Sr is smaller than Ba, SrO has a greater lattice energy than BaO.

Therefore:
Answer: SrO > BaO > NaF > KCl

Which part of the wave is changed when there is interference?
Rasek [7]
When 2 waves interefere (or collide with eachother), it usually affects the crest of the wave. If both waves collide with both crests, it will create an amplified crest, and the waves will pass through eachother afterwards. If a trough of a wave meets a crest, it will cause the crest to be lowered shortly before both continue on.

The end diastolic volume of a heart is 140 mL Assume that it is a sphere. At end diastole, the intraventricular pressure is 7mmI
Vera_Pavlovna [14]

Answer:

Explanation:

We know that, V = 140 mL = 0.00014 m3

Assume that it is a sphere. so, we have

V = (4/3) \pir3

r3 = (0.00014 m3) (3) / (4) (3.14)

r = \sqrt[3]{}\sqrt[3]{}3\sqrt{}3.34 x 10-5 m3

r = 1.93 x 10-7 m

(a) The wall tension at end diastole will be given as :

using a formula, we have

T = P r / 2 H

where, P = intraventricular pressure at end diastole = 7 mmHg = 933.2 Pa

H = wall thickness at this time = 0.011 m

then, we get

T = (933.2 Pa) (1.93 x 10-7 m) / 2 (0.011 m)

T = 8.18 x 10-3 N

(b) The wall tension at the end of isovolumetric contraction will be given as :

using a formula, we have

T = P r / 2 H

where, P = intraventricular pressure at end of isovolumetric contraction = 80 mmHg = 10665.7 Pa

H = wall thickness at this time = 0.011 m

then, we get

T = (10665.7 Pa) (1.93 x 10-7 m) / 2 (0.011 m)

T = 9.35 x 10-2 N

(d) The wall stress from A and B which will be given as :

we know that, \sigma = T / w

For part A, we have

\sigmaA = (8.18 x 10-3 N) / (0.011 m)

\sigmaA = 0.743 N/m

For part B, we have

\sigmaB = (9.35 x 10-2 N) / (0.011 m)

\sigmaB = 8.5 N/m

Is the state of the air in an isolated room completely specified by the temperature and the pressure? Explain
anyanavicka [17]
I think these two variables are sufficient to completely specify the state.

In an isolated room with air only ,the volume is fixed.Mass ,density and its specific volume can be easily known.

Other thermodynamic properties like entropy, enthalpy etc are also fixed at a given temperature & pressure.
