For some reaction carried out at constant atmospheric pressure and at a constant temperature of 25◦C, it is found that ∆H = −38.

468 kJ/mol and ∆S = +51.4 J mol · K . What is the value of ∆G for this reaction under these conditions?

Answer: ΔG =23.169kJ/mol

Explanation:

Solution

To Calculate Gibbs free energy ΔG for the reaction above we use the equation ΔG=ΔH−TΔS.

Where

ΔH= 38.468 kJ/mol = 38468 J/mol

∆S = +51.4 J mol−1 K−1).

T = 25◦C =298k

ΔG= 38468J/mol−298k(51.4 J mol−1 K−1).

ΔG = 38468 J/mol - 15317.2J/mol

ΔG = 23168.8J/mol

ΔG =23.169kJ/mol

Ray Of Light [21]

Answer:

When small organic molecules bind together, they form larger molecules called biological macromolecules.Biological macromolecules are important cellular components and perform a wide array of functions necessary for the survival and growth of living organisms. The four major classes of biological macromolecules are carbohydrates, lipids, proteins, and nucleic acids.

Vera_Pavlovna [14]

Answer:

Energy is transferred from one object to another when a reaction takes place.

Explanation:

Energy comes in many forms and can be transferred from one object to another as heat, light, or motion, to name a few.

The answer could be It is a well known fact that energy can neither be created and nor be destroyed but can be transformed from one form to another.

Now talking about your example in a typical light bulb electrical energy is converted into light energy and heat energy. Now when the electric current flows through the conductor/filament in the light bulb,this would cause vibrations and the free ions are more likely to go to an higher energy level,and when the ions come back to their original state,the difference in the two energy levels is usually emitted as a photon,thus light energy is obtained and the heat energy is the energy dissipated as a result of flow of electricity through the conductor.

Anything that gets transformed into light energy or in better words ElectroMagnetic Energy would be a result of this.

Potassium has three naturally occurring isotopes. According to one source of data, Potassium-39 (mass 38.9637 amu) makes up 93.2
Nonamiya [84]

Answer:

Average atomic mass of potassium based on these relative abundances

= 39.0944

Explanation:

The atomic mass of this element will be equal to the sum of product of its three isotopic masses and its fractional abundance

For isotope I -

Mass of Potassium-39 = 38.9637 amu

Fractional abundance of Potassium-39 = 93.26 %

Mass of Potassium-40 = 39.9640 amu

Fractional abundance of Potassium-40 = 0.01 %

Mass of Potassium-41 = 40.9618 amu

Fractional abundance of Potassium-41 = 6.73%

Average atomic mass of potassium based on these relative abundances

= (38.9636 * 0.9326)+ (39.9640*0.0001) + (40.9618 * 0.0673)\\= 36.3374 + 0.0003 + 2.7567\\= 39.0944
