Answer:

200 N

Explanation:

Power = work / time

Work = force × distance

Therefore:

Power = force × distance / time

100 W = F × 10 m / 20 s

F = 200 N

He exerted 200 N.

A ball of mass 2 kg is kept on the hill of height 3 km. Calculate the potential energy possessed by it ?
zysi [14]
We know that -

P.E=m*g*h

Where,

m = mass

g = acceleration due to gravity

h=height

First we convert height into meters.

1 km = 1000 meters

3 km = 1000 * 3 meters = 3000 meters

So, putting the values in the above formula, and by taking 'g' = 9.8 m/s², we get-

P.E.= 2*3000*9.8

P.E.= 58800 Joules

P.E.= 58.8 kJ

A golf club hits a 0.04551 kg golf ball off a golf tee. The club is in contact with the ball for 0.020 s, and the force applied
Juliette [100K]

Answer:

v = 50.5 m/s

Explanation:

F = (m)(^v/^t)

115N = (0.04551kg)(v/(0.020s))

2,526.917161 m/s² = v/(0.020s)

v = 50.53834322 m/s

v = 50.5 m/s

Which of the following are properties of mechanical waves?
yuradex [85]

The properties of mechanical waves are : ( C and D )

 • The three categories of mechanical waves are transverse, longitudinal,surface waves ( C )
 • Waves transport energy,but not matter ( D )

What are mechanical waves ?

Mechanical waves are a category of waves which cannot transmit energy through a vacuum, i.e. they require a medium to transmit their energy from one end to another. An example of a mechanical wave is : sound wave. Mechanical waves are grouped into transverse, longitudinal and surface waves.

Hence we can conclude that The properties of mechanical waves are : The three categories of mechanical waves are transverse, longitudinal,surface waves and Waves transport energy,but not matter
