Answer:

Explanation:

The rate of reaction will not depend upon concentration of reactant . It will be always constant and equal to .0089M s⁻¹.

Initial moles of reactant = 400 x 10⁻³ mole in 5 L

molarity = 400 x 10⁻³ /5 M

= 80 x 10⁻³ M .

= .08M

no of moles reacted in 2 s  = .0089 x 2

= .0178 M

concentration left = .08 - .0178 M

= .0622 M .

No of moles left in 5 L

= 5 x .0622 = .31 moles .

A sugar crystal contains approximately 1.4×1017 sucrose (C12H22O11) molecules. What is its mass in milligrams? Express using 2 s
alekssr [168]

Answer:

From the periodic table:

mass of carbon = 12 grams

mass of hydrogen = 1 grams

mass of oxygen = 16 grams

molar mass of surcose = 12(12) + 22(1) + 11(16) = 342 grams

number of molecules = number of moles x Avogadro's number

number of moles = number of molecules / Avogadro's number

number of moles = (2.2x10^17) / (6.02x10^23) = 3.6544 x 10^-7 moles

number of moles = mass / molar mass

mass = number of moles x molar mass

= 1.7 x 10^17/6.022 x 10^23.

The table below gives the numbers of protons, electrons, and neutrons in four atoms.
PolarNik [594]

Answer:

Atom 3

Explanation:

Protons have a +1 charge, electrons have a -1 charge, and neutrons have no charge and are therefore neutral. The charges will cancel each other when equal. To determine which atom has the a -1 charge, find the atom that has one more electron than it has protons.
