Answer:

v = 0.92 c

Explanation:

Let the actual length of the rod is L

now its two components along X and Y direction is given as

L_x = Lcos55

L_y = Lsin55

now by the concept of relativity we know that

L_x' = L_x\sqrt{1 - \frac{v^2}{c^2}}

so along x direction the length will contract

now the angle observed by the observer is given as

tan\theta' = \frac{L_y}{L_x'}

tan75 = \frac{L_o sin55}{L_ocos55\sqrt{1 - \frac{v^2}{c^2}}}

3.73 = \frac{1.43}{\sqrt{1 - \frac{v^2}{c^2}}}

\sqrt{1 - \frac{v^2}{c^2}} = 0.38

v = 0.92 c

A train of mass 5.6 × 10^5kg is at rest in a station.at time t=0s, a resultant force acts on the train and it starts to accelera
lana66690 [7]

Answer:

420000N

Explanation:

Given parameters:

Mass of the train  = 5.6 x 10⁵kg

Acceleration  = 0.75m/s²

Unknown:

Resultant force = ?

Solution:

According to newton's second law, force is the product of mass and acceleration;

   Force  = mass x acceleration

Resultant force that acts on the train is given below;

 Force  = 5.6 x 10⁵kg  x 0.75m/s²  = 420000N

A stone is launched straight up by a slingshot. Its initial speed is 19.6 m/s, and the stone is 1.50 m above the ground when lau
arlik [135]

Answer: a) 19.21m b) 3.92secs

Explanation:

a) Maximum height reached by the object is the height reached by an object before falling freely under gravity.

Maximum height = U²/2g

U is the initial velocity = 19.6m/s

g is acceleration due to gravity = 10m/s²

Maximum Height = 19.6²/2(10)

H = 19.21m

b) The time elapsed before the stone hits the ground is the time of flight T= 2U/g

T= 2(19.6)/10

T = 39.2/10

Time elapsed is 3.92secs

At an air show, a stunt pilot performs a vertical loop-the-loop in a circle of radius 3.63 x 103 m. During this performance the
san4es73 [151]

Answer:

189 m/s

Explanation:

The pilot will experience weightlessness when the centrifugal force, F equals his weight, W.

So, F = W

mv²/r = mg

v² = gr

v = √gr where  v = velocity, g = acceleration due to gravity = 9.8 m/s² and r = radius of loop = 3.63 × 10³ m

So, v = √gr

v = √(9.8 m/s² × 3.63 × 10³ m)

v = √(35.574 × 10³ m²/s²)

v = √(3.5574 × 10⁴ m²/s²)

v = 1.89 × 10² m/s

v = 189 m/s
