Answer:

a) 20 m/s

b) No

Explanation:

a)

Mr. G needs to run x= 200 m in t = 10 seconds to catch the bus.

Knowing the speed is computed as

\displaystyle v=\frac{x}{t}

We have

\displaystyle v=\frac{200m}{10s}=20m/s

b)

The fastest human can run 12 m/s, so Mr. G won't be able to catch the bus because he needs to run faster than that

A package falls out of an airplane that is flying in a straight line at a constant altitude and speed. If you ignore air resista
Anettt [7]

Answer:

Explanation:

If you ignore air resistant, then nothing affects the package horizontal motion. In Newton's first law it would keep the package at a constant speed, the speed of the airplane.

So to the eyes of the pilot who is also moving at the same horizontal speed, the lateral position of the package does not change. He can only perceive that the package is getting further away from him as it's dropping vertically.

To a person on the ground then the package is travelling in a parabolic path, where its horizontal speed is constant but vertical speed is increasing toward the ground at the rate of g.

An electron is to be accelerated in a uniform electric field having a strength of 2.00 × 106 V/m. (a) What energy in keV is give
ohaa [14]

Answer:

a) 800 keV

b) 25 km

Explanation:

Strength\ of\ Electric\ field=2\times 10^6\ V/m\\a)\ Potential\ Difference=Strength\ of\ Electric\ field\times Distance\\\Rightarrow Potential\ Difference=Kinetic\ Energy\ =2\times 10^6\times 0.4\\\therefore Energy=0.8\times 10^6\ eV=800\ keV\\

b)\ Potential\ difference=50\ GeV=50\times 10^9\ eV\\Distance=\frac{Potential\ difference}{electric\ field}\\\Rightarrow Distance=\frac{50\times 10^9}{2\times 10^6}\\\Rightarrow Distance=25\times 10^3\ m\\\therefore Distance=25\ km
