Three equal point charges, each with charge 1.05 μCμC , are placed at the vertices of an equilateral triangle whose sides are of

length 0.500 mm . What is the electric potential energy UUU of the system? (Take as zero the potential energy of the three charges when they are infinitely far apart.)

Answer:

The value is U  = 0.06 \  J

Explanation:

From the question we are told that

The value of charge on each three point charge is

q_1 = q_2 = q_3 =q=  1.05 \mu C  =  1.05 *10^{-6} \  C

The length of the sides of the equilateral triangle is r = 0.500 \

Generally the total potential energy is mathematically represented as

U  = k *  [ \frac{q_1 *  q_2}{r}  +  \frac{q_2 *  q_3}{r}   + \frac{q_3 *  q_1}{r} ]

=> U  = k * 3 * \frac{q^2}{r}

Here k is coulomb constant with value k = 9*10^{9}\  kg\cdot m^3\cdot s^{-4} \cdot A^{-2}.

=>    U  = 9*10^9 * 3 * \frac{(1.05 *10^{-6})^2}{0.5 }

U  = 0.06 \  J

Which technology is intended to work at a distance of about 5 to 10 centimeters with transmission speeds of 250 Kbps?
Mars2501 [29]

Answer:

NFC Near Field Communication

Explanation:

The Near Field Communication is a communication protocol, for extra short distance with a maximum of 10 centimeters, but usually used in 4 to 5 cm. Its intended to be used in contactless pay systems and in transportation card. Actually has been used to transfer multimedia from cell phones and other devices. The maximum data rate is around 424 kbit/s, with mean in 250 Kbp

What is the acceleration of a proton moving with a speed of 6.5 m/s at right angles to a magnetic field of 1.5 T?
Brilliant_brown [7]

Answer:

The acceleration of the proton is 9.353 x 10⁸ m/s²

Explanation:

Given;

speed of the proton, u =  6.5 m/s

magnetic field strength, B = 1.5 T

The force of the proton is given by;

F = ma = qvB(sin90°)

ma = qvB

where;

m is mass of the proton, = 1.67 x 10⁻²⁷ kg

charge of the proton, q = 1.602 x 10⁻¹⁹ C

The acceleration of the proton is given by;

a = \frac{qvB}{m}\\\\a = \frac{(1.602*10^{-19})(6.5)(1.5)}{1.67*10^{-27}}\\\\a = 9.353*10^8 \ m/s^2

Therefore, the acceleration of the proton is 9.353 x 10⁸ m/s²

If you cannot get a chair to move across the floor, it is because ___ friction opposes your push.
denis-greek [22]
If you cannot get a chair to move across the floor, it is because static friction opposes your push. When you say static or kinetic friction the two object that facing each other are opposing each other. That's why you're having a hard time pushing the chair.

Determine the density of a rectangular piece of concrete that measures 3.7 cm by 2.1 cm by 5.8 cm and has a mass of 43.8 grams.
Novay_Z [31]
It is customary to work in SI units.

Calculate the volume of the concrete.
V = 3.7*2.1*5.8 cm³ = 45.066 cm³ = 45.066 x 10 ⁻⁶ m³

The mass is  43.8 g = 43.8 x 10⁻³ kg

The density is mass/volume.
Density = (43.8 x 10⁻³ kg)/(45.066 x 10⁻⁶ m³) = 971.9 kg/m³

Answer: 971.9 kg/m³
