Covalent.

Explanation:

The distribution of electrons between the covalent bonds between the atoms is not even. Water is one example of a polar molecule. The bonds between the hydrogen atoms  have an uneven distribution of electron causing the hydrogen atoms to be on one side of the oxygen atom.
