According to the Big Bang theory the universe started approximately 13-15 billion years ago. The big bang theory is a theory that scientists developed and so the belief is that the universe, all of us, planet, our bodies and everything and planets all just got here from some Non-Magical/Non-Spiritual/Non-omnipotent being but rather scientifically we all just got here from some big explosion.

In April 1974, Steve Prefontaine completed a 10 km race in a time of 27 min, 43.6 s. Suppose "Pre" was at the 8.13 km mark at a
SOVA2 [1]

Answer:0.084 m/s^2

Explanation:

Given

Total time=27 min 43.6 s=1663.6 s

total distance=10 km

Initial distance d_1=8.13 km

time taken=25 min =1500 s

initial speed v_1=\frac{8.13\times 1000}{25\times 60}=5.6 m/s

after 8.13 km mark steve started to accelerate

speed after 60 s

v_2=v_1+at

v_2=5.6+a\times 60

distance traveled in 60 sec

d_2=v_1\times 60+\frac{a60^2}{2}

d_2=336+1800 a

time taken in last part of journey

t_3=1663.6-1560=103.6 s

distance traveled in this time

d_3=v_2\times t_3

d_3=\left ( 5.6+a\times 60\right )103.6

and total distance=d_1+d_2+d_3

10000=8.13\times 1000+336+1800 a+\left ( 5.6+a\times 60\right )103.6

1870=336+1800 a+\left ( 5.6+a\times 60\right )103.6

a=0.084 m/s^2

Calculate the binding energy per nucleon of the helium nucleus 52he. express your answer in millions of electron volts to four s
Vitek1552 [10]
The main formula is given by Eb/nucleon = Eb/ mass of nucleid
as for <span>52He, the mass is 5
so by applying Einstein's formula Eb=DmC², Eb=</span><span>binding energy
</span><span>52He-----------> 2 x 11p + 3 x10n is the equation bilan
</span>so Dm=2 mp + (5-2)mn-mnucleus, mp=mass of proton=1.67 10^-27 kg
                                                        mn=mass of neutron=<span>1.67 10^-27 kg
                                                        </span><span>m nucleus= 5
Dm= 2x</span>1.67 10^-27 kg+ 3x<span>1.67 10^-27 kg-5=  - 4.9 J
Eb= </span> - <span>4.9 J x c²= -4.9 x 9 .10^16= - 45 10^16 J
so the answer is Eb /nucleon = Eb/5= -9.10^16 J, but 1eV=1.6 . 10^-19 J
so </span><span>-9.10^16 J/ 1.6 10^-19=  -5.625 10^35 eV

the final answer is </span><span>Eb /nucleon </span><span>=  -5.625 x10^35 eV</span>

The diagram shows a screwdriver being used as a lever to open a tin
Musya8 [376]

Answer:

(a) Most reactive {}       Metal B

{}                                    Metal D

{}                                    Metal A

Least reactive {}           Metal C

(b) (i) Bubbles should form very slowly

(ii) No reaction takes place

Explanation:

(a) The given metals arranged in their order of reactivity are;

Most reactive {}       Metal B

{}                               Metal D

{}                               Metal A

Least reactive {}      Metal C

The other of reactivity is based on the nature of their reactivity of the metals in air

(b) (i) Based on the reactivity of the metals in air, whereby metal A reacts very slowly and an oxide is formed, we have that, based on the reactivity of the metal A, when mixed with dilute hydrochloric acid, bubbles should form very slowly

(ii) Similarly, given that metal C is unreactive, we have that when small pieces of metal C are added to dilute hydrochloric acid, no reaction takes place.

A bowling ball with a negative initial velocity slows down as it rolls down the lane toward the pins. Is the bowling ballâs acce
stiv31 [10]

Answer:

positive

Explanation:

The ball is rolling down with a negative velocity, but the velocity is slowing down. therefore the velocity must increase in order for the ball to slow down.

For example let the ball's initial velocity be -15 m/s. and it  is slowing down to let's say -13 m/s. Well this means that it's velocity has increase by 2 m/s. So, its acceleration is positive.

Convert the speed of light 3.0x10^8 m/s to km/day
Aleksandr [31]

Answer: 2.592 \times 10^{8}km/day

1 m = 0.001 km\\ 1 s= 1.157\times10^{-5} days\\ 1 m/s = \frac {0.001}{1.157\times10^{-5}} km/day = 86.4 km/day \\ 3.0\times 10^{8} m/s = 3.0\times 10^{8} m/s \times \frac {86.4 km/day}{1m/s} =2.592 \times 10^{8}km/day
