Diffuse reflection

Explanation:

When light rays falls on a polished surface it bounce back into the same medium after striking. This is called reflection.

There are two types of reflection.

Regular reflection and diffuse reflection

When a parallel rays of light falls on a smooth and highly polished surface, then after reflection they are also parallel to each other. It is called regular reflection.

When parallel rays of light fall on a rough and unpolished surface, then after reflection they are not parallel to each other. This phenomena is called diffuse reflection.
