Length 'L' = 1.81 m

Now, First off the fourth harmonic of a string with two nodes is given by:

L=2λ

1.81=2λ

λ= 1.81/2 =>0.905 m

Wave speed on a strecthed string is:

v=√(Ft/(m/l))

v= √(8.37)/(0.0123/1.81)

v= 35.09m/s

Next is to determine frequency i,e

v=λf or f =v/λ

f= 35.09/0.905

f= 38.77Hz

The voltage from one side of the battery all the way around to the other side of the battery is 12v .

If 4 of those volts show up across the circle-thing, then the rest of the 12v ... 8v ... Must show up across the set of parallel rectangles.

To get that answer, I subtracted the 4 from the 12.

Just like it says in choice-C.

     The quartiles are found by finding the medium of the data, and then the mediums of the two different data sets on either side of the medium. The Q_{2} is the overall medium, Q_{1} is the medium of the first half, and Q_{3} is the medium of the second half.

The range is 7.

The interquartile range is the range of numbers between Q_{1} and Q_{3}. In other words, it is 50% of the data, directly in the middle.

79 is an outlier.

It is an outlier because it is 1.5 above or below (in this case, above) the interquartile range.

-> 63 + (7 + \frac{7}{2}) ≤ 79

-> 63 + 10.5 ≤ 79
