Taiga generally referred to in North America as boreal forest or snow forest, is a biome characterized by coniferous forests consisting mostly of pines. Has vegetation and is frozen most year around very cold and drag. It wouldn’t be tundra because in that biome there is no vegetation.

A sample of nitrogen gas has the temperature drop from 250.°c to 150.°c at constant pressure. what is the final volume if the in
Leviafan [203]
Charles law gives the relationship between temperature of gas and volume of gas.
It states that for a fixed amount of gas, temperature is directly proportional to volume of gas.
V / T = k
where   V- volume , T - temperature and k - constant
\frac{V1}{T1} =  \frac{V2}{T2}
parameters for the first instance are on the left side and parameters for the second instance are on the right side of the equation.
T1 = 250 °C + 273 = 523 K
T2 = 150 °C + 273 = 423 K
Substituting the values in the equation,

\frac{310 mL}{523 K} =  \frac{V}{423K}
V = 251 mL
the new volume is 251 mL

Determine the molarity of 1.2 mol KCl in 1.1 L of a solution?
victus00 [196]

Answer:

1.1 M

General Formulas and Concepts:

  • Molarity = moles of solute / liters of solution

Explanation:

<u>Step 1: Define variables</u>

1.2 mol KCL

1.1 L of solution

M = unknown

<u>Step 2: Solve for Molarity</u>

  1. Substitute:                    M = 1.2 mol/1.1 L
  2. Evaluate:                       M = 1.09091

<u>Step 3: Check</u>

<em>We are given 2 sig figs. Follow sig fig rules.</em>

1.09091 M ≈ 1.1 M
