If there is a convergent boundary, the geologic features you would  expect to find as a result of that boundary are;

  • Oceanic trench
  • & volcanic arc

Explanation:

At a convergent boundary, two tectonic plates are colliding. The denser plate (usually the oceanic plate) is forced to subduct underneath the less dense plate (usually the continental plate). This causes enormous stress at the boundary of subduction such that the two pates warp downwards at the boundary line forming a trench.

This stress also causes the overlying plate to develop fissures along the boundary. As the subducted plate ‘dives’ into the mantle it melts and the magma rises, with enormous pressure, through these fissures. At the surface, the magma erupts into a volcanic mountain. Because the fissures are several along the boundary, several mountains are formed forming a volcanic arc.

What is the density of object A? Does it sink<br> or float in water?
Oksana_A [137]

Answer:

~1.5 g/cm3 and it does NOT float in water.

Explanation:

If you look at the graph, Object A weighs ~6 grams and is ~4 cm3 in volume

Density = Mass/Volume

So 6 grams/4 cm3 = 1.5 g/cm3

Water has a density of 1 g/cm3 and because Object A density is higher than that of water, it sinks.

Carry out some research into how new elements get their name and their symbols. Write out a short passage (no more than 50 words
spin [16.1K]
The IUPAC says that elements have to be named after one of five things: a scientist, a place, a mineral or substance, a descriptor of the element, or a mythological reference. Of the new elements, three are named after places and one is named after a person No-one has yet named an element after themselves but many elements are named in tribute to important scientists
