There are following transition series in case of hydrogen spectrum

a) Lyman series : it is when electron transit from n1= 2 to n2= 3,4 ,5 .....

It falls in UV region

b) Balmer series : it is when electron transit from n1= 2 to n2= 3,4 ,5 .....

It falls in visible region

c) pachen series : it is when electron transit from n1= 3 to n2= 4 ,5 .....

It falls in IR band

d) Brackett : it is when electron transit from n1= 4 to n2= 5,6,7 .....

It falls in Ir band

and so on

As asked we have assign ultraviolet absorption : n1 = 1 to n1= 2,3,4,5

ultraviolet emission: n2 = 2,3,4,5..... to n1= 1

The proton-proton chain ____ (A) combines two hydrogen nuclei to produce a single helium nucleus and energy.(B) splits a helium
emmainna [20.7K]

Answer:

(C) is the mechanism that increases the temperature between the photosphere and corona of the sun.

Explanation:

When a stars is converted from hydrogen to helium then this is known as proton -proton chain reaction.Due to this reaction the temperature between corona of the sun and photosphere increases. The main reason for increasing the temperature is exothermic reaction.

So the option C is correct.

(C) is the mechanism that increases the temperature between the photosphere and corona of the sun.

What law does a balanced chemical equation demonstrate?
DochEvi [55]

Answer:

The law of conservation of mass

Explanation:

A chemical equation is an expression of the net composition change associated with a chemical reaction. It shows how a certain amount of reactants yields a certain amount of products. Both of these amounts are measured in moles. Chemical equations often contain information about the state of the reactants: solid, liquid, gas, or aqueous. In addition, they always adhere to the law of conservation of mass, which holds that matter can change form, but cannot be created or destroyed.
