Catalytic ozone destruction occurs in the stratosphere by a two-step reaction:
Sladkaya [172]
Catalytic ozone destruction occurs in the stratosphere where the reactions involving bromine, chlorine, hydrogen, nitrogen and oxygen gases form compounds that destroy the ozone layer. The reactions uses a catalyst (speeds up the reaction) in a two step reaction. considering chlorine the reactions appears as follows;
step 1
 Cl + O3 = ClO + O2
 step 2
ClO + O = Cl + O2
Where by chlorine is released to destroy the ozone layer, this takes place many times even with the other elements (hydrogen, bromine, nitrogen) and the end result is a completely destroyed Ozone layer

A pitcher claims he can throw a 0.146-kg baseball with as much momentum as a 2.70-g bullet moving with a speed of 1.50 ✕ 103 m/s
Nataly_w [17]

(a) The pitcher must throw the ball at 27.7 m/s

The momentum of an object is given by:

p=mv

where

m is the mass of the object

v is the object's velocity

Let's calculate the momentum of the bullet, which has a mass of

m = 2.70 g = 0.0027 kg

and a velocity of

v=1.50\cdot 10^3 m/s

Its momentum is:

p=mv=(0.0027 kg)(1.50\cdot 10^{3} m/s)=4.05 kg m/s

The pitcher must throw the baseball with this same momentum. The mass of the ball is

m = 0.146 kg

So the velocity of the ball must be

v=\frac{p}{m}=\frac{4.05 kg m/s}{0.146 kg}=27.7 m/s

So, the pitcher must throw the ball at 27.7 m/s.

(b) a. The bullet has greater kinetic energy

The kinetic energy of an object is given by

K=\frac{1}{2}mv^2

where m is the mass of the object and v is its speed.

For the bullet, we have:

K=\frac{1}{2}(0.0027 kg)(1.50\cdot 10^3 m/s)^2=3037.5 J

For the ball:

K=\frac{1}{2}(0.146 kg)(27.7 m/s)^2=56.0 J

So, the bullet has greater kinetic energy.

A dog uses 300 N of force to run 50 m with a speed of 5.9 m/s. How much power does he expand
balu736 [363]

Answer:

1.47kW

Explanation:

F = 300N, s = 50m, v = 5.9m/s

P = W/t

= (F× )/t

= F × v

= 300 × 5.9

= 1470Watt

= 1.47kW

  • A digital wallet is an app used to carry out financial transactions on mobile devices (or electronic wallet).our passwords and payment details are securely stored there. Instead of carrying our cards with us while shopping, these programs let us pay using our mobile. we input and save the details of our credit card, debit card, or bank account so that we may use our smartphone to make purchases later on.
  • The purpose of digital wallets is to increase access to financial goods and services by utilizing the capabilities of mobile devices. Due to its ability to safely and conveniently store all of a user's payment information, digital wallets effectively do away with the need to carry a traditional wallet.
