This one is easy. You just find the rise over run for the graph. Here, its 3/2 m/s.

They have similar distances from the sun therefore receive similar amounts of solar energy but Venus has no atmosphere to protect it so greater variation in temp.

100 Points
solniwko [45]

Answer:

4) Isaac Newton was the first scientist to propose the idea that gravity increases distance between objects decrease

Explanation:

1 - Kepler may have inspired most of Newton's propositions, but there is no record of collaborating on the theory of universal gravitation.

2 - The universal gravitation theory resemble the works of other great scientists, but Newton was indeed the first to propose this idea of gravitation

3 - On the contrary, these scientists have shared concepts, with differences in accuracy that supersede each other to be accepted by the community (i.e: Einstein being at the forefront despite sharing some ideas with Newton)

In 1610, galileo used his telescope to discover four prominent moons around jupiter. their mean orbital radii a and periods t ar
katrin2010 [14]

Time period of any moon of Jupiter is given by

T = 2\pi \sqrt{\frac{r^3}{GM}}

from above formula we can say that mass of Jupiter is given by

M = \frac{4 \pi^2 r^3}{GT^2}

now for part a)

r = 4.22 * 10^8 m

T = 1.77 day = 152928 seconds

now by above formula

M = \frac{4 \pi^2 r^3}{GT^2}

M = \frac{4 \pi^2 (4.22 * 10^8)^3}{(6.67 * 10^{-11})(152928)^2}

M = 1.9* 10^{27} kg

Part B)

r = 6.71 * 10^8 m

T = 3.55 day = 306720 seconds

now by above formula

M = \frac{4 \pi^2 r^3}{GT^2}

M = \frac{4 \pi^2 (6.71 * 10^8)^3}{(6.67 * 10^{-11})(306720)^2}

M = 1.9* 10^{27} kg

Part c)

r = 10.7 * 10^8 m

T = 7.16 day = 618624 seconds

now by above formula

M = \frac{4 \pi^2 r^3}{GT^2}

M = \frac{4 \pi^2 (10.7 * 10^8)^3}{(6.67 * 10^{-11})(618624)^2}

M = 1.89* 10^{27} kg

PART D)

r = 18.8 * 10^8 m

T = 16.7 day = 1442880 seconds

now by above formula

M = \frac{4 \pi^2 r^3}{GT^2}

M = \frac{4 \pi^2 (18.8 * 10^8)^3}{(6.67 * 10^{-11})(1442880)^2}

M = 1.889* 10^{27} kg

Two friends of different masses are on the playground. They are playing on the seesaw and are able to balance it even though the
Westkost [7]

Answer:

They are able to balance torques due to gravity.

F_1 L_1 = F_2L_2

Explanation:

When two friends of different masses will balance themselves on see saw then at equilibrium position the see saw will remain horizontal

This condition will be torque equilibrium position where the see saw will not rotate

Here we can say

F_1 L_1 = F_2L_2

here we know that force is due to weight of two friends

and their positions are different with respect to the lever about which see saw is rotating

since both friends are of different weight so they will balance themselves are different positions as per above equation

Calculate the number of free electrons and holes (in m-3) in an intrinsic semiconductor that has electron and hole mobilities of
allochka39001 [22]

Answer:

ni = 2.04e19

Explanation:

we know that in semiconductor like intrinsic, when electron leave the band, it leave a hole in valence band so we have

n = p = ni

from intrinsic carrier concentration

\sigma = n\left | e \right | \mu_e + n\left | e \right | \mu_h

\sigma = ni\left | e \right | \mu_e  + ni\left | e \right | \mu_h

\sigma = ni \left | e \right | ( \mu_e + \mu_h)

1.7 = ni * 1.6*10^{-19} * (.35 + .17)

ni = 2.014 *10^{19} m^{-3}

ni = 2.04e19
