Answer:

The reaction H2O(g)+C(s) -> CO(g)+ H2(g) is NOT spontaneous because its ΔG =  91 kJ/moles

Explanation:

ΔG is calculated by ΔH - TΔS

ΔG = ΔH - TΔS

ΔG = 131.3 kJ/mole - 298K . 0,134kJ/mole K

ΔG = 91.068 kJ/moles

Be careful with the ΔS, because you have J, and in ΔH, you have kJ

An atom has a mass number of 22 and an atomic number of 12. How many neutrons<br> does it have?
tia_tia [17]

Answer:

this isn't correct answer but the equation is correct by using this methid you can got your answer .

Explanation:

Given - Mass number of atom = 23

                                Atomic number of atom = 11

As, no. of electrons in an atom is equal to an atomic number of the element.

So, number of electrons = 11

Secondly , number of protons are equal to number of electrons.

so, number of protons = 11

And number of neutrons = mass number - atomic number = 23−11 = 12

so, number of neutrons = 12

So , the atom contains 11 protons, 11 electrons, 12 neutrons.

If 4.50 g of methane gas (CH4) is in a 2.00-L container at 35°C, what is the pressure in the
Airida [17]

Answer:

The answer to your question is Pressure = 3.55 atm

Explanation:

Data

R = 0.082 atm L/mol°K

mass = 4.5 g

volume = 2 L

temperature = 35°C

Pressure = ?

Process

1.- Calculate the moles of Methane

molar weight = 12 + 4 = 16 g

                          16 g of Methane --------------- 1 mol

                          4.5 g                    --------------- x

                           x = (4.5 x 1)/16

                           x = 0.281 moles

2.- Convert temperature to Kelvin

°K = 273 + 35

    = 308

3.- Use the ideal gas law to solve this problem

          PV = nRT

- Solve for P

           P = nRT / V

- Substitution

           P = (0.281)(0.082)(308) / 2

- Simplification

           P = 7.097 / 2

- Result

            P = 3.55 atm
