Read the following hypothesis about why a chicken bone becomes bendy after being soaked in vinegar: The bone can bend because th

e acid in the vinegar has removed the calcium that made it hard. What prediction could be made based on this hypothesis? A. An acidic substance like many drinks wouldn't make bones bendy. B. Acids are very powerful substances and should be handled with care. C. Other kinds of bones containing calcium wouldn't get bendy in the vinegar. D. If the acid was separated from the vinegar, chicken bones wouldn't become bendy in the remaining vinegar.

Answer:

D. If the acid was separated from the vinegar, chicken bones wouldn't become bendy in the remaining vinegar.

Explanation:

The hypothesis states that the bone becomes bendy because of the acid in the vinegar, so therefore, if the acid is removed from the vinegar it won't become bendy.

The thing that the discovered is a "partially molten state"<br> What would that be considered as
castortr0y [4]

Answer:

liquid and solid

Explanation:

Research scientists of scotland discovered a new state of the matter which consists of both liquid and solid. Scientifically there are  three states of matter i.e Solid, Liquid and Gas, but now there are chances of one more state of matter which which consists of more than one state of the existing three states of the matter which have both liquid and solid state.

This discovery took place with the help of artificial intelligence of today's world which is transforming the world  day by day.

The State is considered to be true as it is thermodynamically stable state of the matter.

Which element has the same number of valence electrons as calcium?
kipiarov [429]

Answer:

Barium has the same number of valence electrons as calcium

Explanation:

Valence electrons is the number of electrons of an atom on the outer shell.

Those valence electrons can participate in the formation of a chemical bond (if the outer shell is not closed); in a single covalent bond, both atoms in the bond contribute one valence electron in order to form a shared pair.

<u>Calcium</u> is an atom, part of group 2, called the alkaline earth metals. The alkaline earth metals have 2 valence electrons.

<u>Sulfur </u>is part of a group 16, called the chalcogens or oxygen family. Those atoms have 6 valence electrons. They can form a bound with atoms of group 2 such as calcium, but do not have the same number of valence electrons.

<u>Potassium</u> is part of group 1, called the alkali metals or lithium family. Those atoms have 1 valence electrons. That means  Potassium do not have the same number of valence electrons like calcium.

<u>Neon</u> is part of group 18, the noble gasses. Those are stable atoms, which means they have 8 valence electrons. They do not have the same number of valence electrons like Calcium.

<u>Barium</u> an atom, part of group 2, called the alkaline earth metals. The alkaline earth metals have 2 valence electrons. Calcium is also part of this group.

This means barium has the same number of valence electrons as Calcium.
