Answer:

Check explanation

Explanation:

The compound we are comparing with Sodium Chloride, NaCl here is an hydrate of Cobalt chloride, CoCl2. Cobalt chloride changes color in response to humidity. That is, as humidity increases, cobalt chloride changes color from blue to purple and then, to pink.

As Cobalt chloride absorb water, the Cobalt chloride crystal structure rearranges itself to to accept the water molecules to form a dihydrate.

The hydration reaction can be represented in equation (1) as below;

CoCl2 + 2H2O --------------------> CoCl2.2H2O.---------------------------(1).

The CoCl2 is blue in colour while the CoCl2.2H2O is purple in colour.

When more water is added to the CoCl2,the crystal structure changes again in order to allow more water molecules in order to form the hexahydrate. The equation of reaction is given in the equation below;

CoCl2 . 2 H2O + 4 H2O -----------> CoCl2 . 6 H2O....

select the equations that are correctly balanced. h2o 2o2? h2o2 fe2o3 3h2? 2fe 3h2o al 3br2? albr3 caco3? cao co2 can you clarif
natta225 [31]
The choices are as follows:
h2o + 2o2 = h2o2
fe2o3 + 3h2 = 2fe + 3h2o
al + 3br2 = albr3
caco3 = cao + co2

The correct answers would be the second and the last option. The equations that are correctly balanced are:

fe2o3 + 3h2 = 2fe + 3h2o
caco3 = cao + co2

To balance, it should be that the number of atoms of each element in the reactant and the product side is equal.

A book is pushed off the edge of a table. At what point during the fall will the potential and kinetic energy be equal?
vfiekz [6]

Answer:

KE = PE at half the table Height:

Explanation

AT ANY POINT IN THE BOOK'S FALL,

TOTAL E = PE +KE

THE TOTAL E IS CONSTANT

Before the book is pushed off, the total energy is potential

TOT E=PE =MGH

BEFORE THE BOOK HITS THE GROUND, THE TOTAL E IS KINETIC

TOT=KE = MVXV/2

WHEN KE = PE

KE+PE = MGH (STARTING ENERGY SINCE E IS CONSERVED)

OR PE+ PE = MGH

OR MGH' + MGH' =MGH

OR 2H' =H

H' (NEW HEIGHT) =H/2
