Answer:

The easiest way to make these solutions is preparing serial dilutions with dilution factor of 10.

Explanation:

In chemistry, a dilution is the way to reducing the concentration of a chemical adding more solvent.

To prepare the first 0,100 M NaCl from 1,00 M NaCl:

You must take an aliquot of 25,0 mL of 1,00 M NaCl and dilute until 250,0 mL. Thus, the concentration will decrease ten times until the expected concentration. The dilution factor is 10.

To prepare the second 0,0100 M of NaCl:

From 0,100 M NaCl take an aliquot of 25 mL an dilute until 250,0 mL. Thus, the concentration will decrease ten times.

So, to prepare each solution you must take the last one and dilute it in a dilution factor of 10.

I hope it helps!

Freeze drying (or lyophilization) removes water from the ice cream by lowering the air pressure to a point where ice sublimates from a solid to a gas. List the protons, neutrons, and electrons for Ge2+
Please hurry
Nady [450]

Answer:

32, 30 and 41

Explanation:

The problem here is to find the number of:

    Protons, neutrons and electrons in Ge²⁺

In this ion,

   We must understand that for a net positive charge to remain on an atom, the number of protons must be greater than the number of electrons.

Ge is Germanium with atomic number of 32;

So the number of protons is 32

Since the atom has lost two electrons;

  Number of electrons now is 32  - 2 = 30

Number of neutrons is 41 from the periodic table.

The bottom of a box has a surface area of 25.0 cm 2 . The mass of the box is 34.0 kilograms. Acceleration due to gravity at sea
Viktor [21]
Pressure given by:
Pressure=(force)/(area)
Force=Mass*gravitational pull
Mass=34Kg
gravity=9.80

so,
force=34*9.8=333.2
thus;
pressure=333.2/25=13.328=13.3 N/cm^2

Hope this helped :)

Why did the food coloring separate into different dyes?
Dmitrij [34]

It is a mixture

Explanation:

Food coloring is able to separate into different dyes because it just a simple mixture of different color pigments.

Under a chromatogram the different colors will migrate relatively over an absorbent.

A mixture is an impure substance with the following properties:

  • composition is indefinite as they are made up of two or more elements or compounds in any proportion by mass.
  • They are able to retain their identities i.e physical properties are maintained.
  • Their constituents reacts differently to changed conditions.
  • They can easily be separated into constituent by physical methods.
