Assuming the temperature of the system is 20 C the atmospheric pressure is 0.998 atm, and the total volume collected in the ball

oon is 0.28 L, calculate the number of moles of H2 collected in the ballot. This is the actual yield. Use the dalton's law of partial pressure to determine the partial pressure of H2 in the balloon. The vapor pressure of water is 20 Cis 17.5 mmHg

Answer:

The number of moles of H₂ is 0.01135 moles

The partial pressure of H₂ in the balloon is 0.975 atm

Explanation:

From Dalton's law of partial pressure, we have;

Total pressure = Pressure of H₂ + Pressure of the water vapor

The vapor pressure of water at 20°C = 17.5 mmHg = 0.0230225 atm

For equilibrium, pressure of the balloon = Surrounding pressure = Atmospheric pressure

∴ Pressure of H₂ + Pressure of the water vapor = Atmospheric pressure

Partial pressure of H₂ in the balloon, P = 0.998 - 0.0230225 = 0.9749775 ≈ 0.975 atm

0.975 atm  = 98789.595 Pa

Volume of balloon, V = 0.28 L

n = PV/(RT)

Where:

R = Universal gas constant = 0.08205 L·atm/(mol·K)

T = Temperature = 20°C = 293.15 K

∴ n = 0.975 * 0.28/ (0.08205  * 293.15) =  0.01135 moles.

Who is using welding symbols to to communicate the detailed information necessary for welders to complete the weld?
muminat

Answer: An engineer or a craftsperson

Explanation:

Welding symbols allow the engineer or draftsperson to communicate detailed information about the weld to the welder. In most cases, the welding symbol has an arrow, which points to the location on the drawing where a weld is required. The arrow is attached to a leader line that intersects with a horizontal reference line. The arrow and leader line point to the joint in question, while the weld symbol tells the welder what type of weld   to do. If the weld symbol is below the reference line, the weld should be made on the same side as the arrow.

The device whose operation closely matches the way the clamp-on ammeter works is
Ivanshal [37]

Answer:

The answer is

C. Split phase motor

Explanation:

Clamp meters rely on the principle of magnetic induction to make non contact AC current measurements. Electric current flowing through a wire produces a magnetic field.

Which is similar to basic mode of operation of electric motor and split phase motor is a type of electric motor.

What is a a clamp on meter?

Clamp meters are electrical testers which have wide jaws that are able to clamp around an electrical conductor. Originally designed as a single purpose tool for measuring AC current, clamp meters now include inputs for accepting test leads and other probes that support a wide range of electrical measurements, the jaws of a clamp meter permit work in tight spaces and permits current measurements on live conductors without circuit interruption.

Which of the following has special properties that allow forces and pressure to be distributed evenly?
Thepotemich [5.8K]

Answer:

Fluids

Explanation:

Fluids has special properties that allow forces and pressure to be distributed evenly within them.

  • Fluids are gases and liquids whose intermolecular forces of attraction are generally weak or non-existence.
  • Therefore, when pressure is applied to them, it permeates evenly on all parts.
  • Their ability to tend to randomness makes liquids and gases very viable for distributing pressure.
