Explanation:

Quantum number specify the properties of atomic orbitals and the properties of electrons in the orbitals. They indicate the main energy level, the shape, and the orientation of an orbitals.

There are four quantum number namely Principle(n), Orbital(l), Azimuthal(m) and Spin(s), which define the shell, subshell, magnetic moment and spins of an electron respectively.
