Answer:

The pressure is 2.167 psi.

Explanation:

Given that,

Diameter = 1.5 feet

Height = 10 feet

We need to calculate the psi at 5 feet

Using formula of pressure at a depth in a fluid

Suppose the fluid is water.

Then, the pressure is

P=\rho g h

Where, P = pressure

\rho = density

h = height

Put the value into the formula

P=1000\times9.8\times1.524

P=14935.2\ N/m^2

Pressure in psi is

P=2.166167621\ psi

P=2.167\ psi

Hence, The pressure is 2.167 psi.

Give an example of a scientific hypothesis. Explain how you would test it, and how it could be falsified (proved untrue).
kaheart [24]

my hypothesis is that If you drop a piece of buttered toast, it will land butter side down.

I tested it by dropping 10 pieces of buttered toast off the table and noted on which side it landed

It could be falsified cause I just made all of this up. In essence, it's like flipping a coin, 50/50 chance so I could say that 5 landed butter up and 5 landed butter down.

Forces on a Baseball. When a baseballis thrown or hit, the resulting motion of the ball is determined by Newton's laws of motion. ... Lift and drag are actually two components of a single aerodynamic force acting on the ball. Drag acts in a direction opposite to the motion, and lift acts perpendicular to the motion.

When applying an arm sling, the injured arm's hand should be placed in a ________ position in the sling, and above the level of
Ierofanga [76]

Answer:

The answer is "thumb-up".

Explanation:

The sling often called the arm sling, is a solution for preventing either shoulder or elbow motion during healing. A triangle bandage could be constructed.

A sling is a strong tissue loop that descends from the head to hold the forearm. The armrests in the sling bent also at the elbow.

The injured hand of the forearm should be positioned inside the pin position in the joint above the level of the elbow when putting the forearm sling.

Which of the following has the most biomass? a. quaternary consumers b. secondary consumers c. primary consumers d. producers
elena-s [515]

Answer;

Producers

Explanation;

 • Producers occupy the lowest level in any food chain or food web. They are the organisms that all other organisms in the food chain rely on.
 • Producers have the ability to make their own food through the process of photosynthesis where they use energy from sunlight, together with water and carbon dioxide to generate food.
 • The ability of producers to make their own food and the fact that they occupy the lowest level in a food chain means they have the highest biomass.

A curved road has a radius of 120 m and a cant angle of 48 degrees. What is the maximum speed to stay on the curve in the absenc
zalisa [80]

Answer:

Maximum speed, v = 36 m/s

Explanation:

Given that,

The radius of the curved road, r = 120 m

Road is at an angle of 48 degrees. We need to find the maximum speed of stay on the curve in the absence of friction. On a banked curve, the angle at which it is cant is given by :

tan\theta=\dfrac{v^2}{rg}

g is the acceleration due to gravity

v=\sqrt{rg\ tan\theta}

v=\sqrt{120\times 9.8\times \ tan(48)}

v = 36.13 m/s

or

v = 36 m/s

So, the maximum speed to stay on the curve in the absence of friction is 36 m/s. Hence, this is the required solution.
