An elastic conducting material is stretched into a circular loop of 14.8 cm radius. It is placed with its plane perpendicular to

a uniform 0.814 T magnetic field. When released, the radius of the loop starts to shrink at an instantaneous rate of 88.4 cm/s. What emf is induced in volts in the loop at that instant

Answer: 0.666 V

Explanation:

Given

Radius of the loop, r = 14.8 cm = 0.148 m

Magnetic field present, B = 0.814 T

Rate of shrinking, dr/dt = 88.4 cm/s = 0.884 m/s

emf = dΦ/dt , where Φ = BA

emf = d(BA)/dt, where A = πr²

emf = d(Bπr²)/dt

if B is constant, then

emf = Bπ d(r²)/dt, on differentiating, we have,

emf = Bπ * 2r dr/dt

emf = 2πrB dr/dt, now if we substitute the values, we have

emf = 2 * 3.142 * 0.148 * 0.814 * 0.884

emf = 6.284 * 0.106

emf = 0.666 V

Answer:

Explanation:

Not enough information.

IF we ASSUME she wants the car to be at LAUNCH LEVEL after 1 second of flight.

THEN

The highest point will have zero vertical velocity and will have taken ½ second to get there. This means that the initial vertical velocity was

v = gt

vy₀ = 9.8(0.5)

vy₀ = 4.9 m/s

vsinθ = vy₀

v = vy₀/sinθ

v = 4.9/sin32

v = 9.2466...

v = 9.2 m/s

You are riding a bicycle. If you apply a forward force of 125 N, and you and
erica [24]

Answer:

1.52g

Explanation:

Given parameters:

Force  = 125N

Mass combined  = 82kg

Unknown:

Acceleration of the bicycle  = ?

Solution:

From Newton second law of motion suggests that:

   Force = mass x acceleration

  Acceleration = \frac{force}{mass}  = \frac{125}{82}   = 1.52g

Joe the house painter stands on a uniform oak board weighing 600 N and held up by vertical ropes at each end. Joe has been dieti
Mamont248 [21]

Answer

given,

weight of the oak board = 600 N

Weight of Joe = 844 N

length of board = 4 m

Joe is standing at 1 m from left side

vertical wire is supporting at the end.

Assuming the system is in equilibrium

T₁ and T₂ be the tension at the ends of the wire

equating all the vertical force

T₁ + T₂ = 600 + 844

 T₁ + T₂ = 1444...........(1)

taking moment about T₂

 T₁ x 4 - 844 x 3 - 600 x 2 = 0

 T₁ x 4 = 3732

 T₁ = 933 N

from equation (1)

 T₂ = 1444 - 933

 T₂ = 511 N
